Given that many one line plot synopsis for Dracula in newspaper TV schedules read “story of three mens’ struggle to curb the fiendish Count Dracula,” we know there are at least three male cast members other than Drac.

For Yvette Vickers fans (and I MARRIED A MONSTER FROM O.S. fans): Tom Tryon and Gloria Talbott in MATINEE THEATER's "Dark of the Moon":

Unfortunately, that archive doesn’t contain the Matinee Theater Dracula script, but it does have scripts for some of the other horror-themed dramas.tv horror wrote: I found this if anyone lives near New York, I'm in Ireland in case anybody wants to inquire.

But there is a collection of Matinee Theater scripts at UCLA’s Charles E. Young Research Library. That one does house the Dracula script and other MT horrors.

Matinee Theater might make a nice change of pace for SCRIPTS FROM THE CRYPT.

Gary, I will soon be hitting the highway to the public library to use their scanning machine (combined with the duplicator, scanning is free, since saving to usb no paper is used to require a fee), to scan Parker Anderson's 7 pages of John Carraddine's TV credits, which he told me he would appreciate if I did post to CHFB.
I hope it will aid you and any other interested people here on the board.
I have no idea if, to best aid CHFBers including yourself, I should post the pages to this thread, or on a separate thread, on TV Terrors. I'm thinking a single post to a new thread here on TV Terrrors would probably be best.

Thank you for doing this service Film detective it's much appreciated, maybe you should just post here as it would be easier to find under this title or maybe a John Carradine TV credits thread. I'm awaiting word back from the UCLA library and will also post the reply. As for you mentioning the usb stick and no fees, do you have to sign a waiver for the copies?

No waiver problems on Roasting Roderick, tv horror. Parker Anderson, the publisher and editor has given me permission to post all of his John Carradine writings from RR here on CHFB.
I would suppose Mr. Carradine's Stage credits should go on a combined Film & Stage Credits thread on some other board.
Parker also did a list of JC's Radio credits.

tv horror, I will be starting a thread on the Roasting Roderick article on JC's TV credits.
And, Gary, if you also want those pages posted in this thread, just let me know and I'll also post them here.

<< Matinee Theater might make a nice change of pace for SCRIPTS FROM THE CRYPT. <<
SCRIPTS FROM THE CRYPT already did a TV series, Karloff's THE VEIL, a "yaaaawn" horror series, and our book on it got kind-of a "yaaaaawn" reaction from Monster Kids. But I'm still gonna do a SCRIPTS CRYPT on TALES OF TOMORROW one of these fine days.

So the book becomes a tale of tomorrow, I'll be looking forward to its arrival Tom.

(Them's the ones I used.)
As promised here is the reply I got from the UCLA special collections library, unfortunately there is no cast list:
Hello Maurice,
The boxes have come in. The script in box 3 is only the script, no other materials. The notes in box 12 are a characters list only, no actors are listed and a rehearsal schedule, no other notes are included.
The search continues.

Parker Anderson sent me a link to a rare, or little known JC film, which he was not sure whether it had been shown on television or not.
"Shadow House" 1973 Steranko, John Carradine
The link did not highlight, but when I highlighted it, pasted it into my browser and clicked on it, it came up on the left side of a net search, ready to play.

I'm not sure if this is the full episode as it very short however here is a link to the video. Thanks Filmdetective.

Two working titles for the story were Steranko's "Something Lurks On Shadow Mountain!", which editor Stan Lee didn't care for. The other was Lee's own "Let Them Eat Cake!", which Steranko hated. Since it was going to be the first story of
a brand new book, Stan gave it a lot of editorial attention, much to Steranko's annoyance. He also rejected Steranko's striking cover, which you can probably find if you Google it, in favor of a somwhat more average type of comic book cover by John Romita.

November 23, 1956 listing from the Colorado edition of TV Guide for "Dracula" gives some slight additional information on the plot and suggests that the show was broadcast live (1:00 pm MT = 3:00 pm ET). Since IMDb lists the actress who played Lucy Weston, might this adaptation have been another of those which substitute Lucy for Mina as Harker's bride to be?
