I've played and have had fun as a battlemage, however I'll never do a pure mage build. I need medium armor at the minimum, and a good stabby stab or two.
Only time I'm willing to do near naked builds is with melee, and I'm talking about the entire souls series

Loretta’s weapon would have been awesome if it let us cast the sorcerers move she’s using here. But nah it’s gotta be JUST the rising blue slash move alone. Not like we can’t already use the current ash of war on another weapon already way before you even get the weapon itself. Really needed to be more unique.

Yeah, it turns out staying at range against a boss with primarily ranged attacks isn't necessarily the best strategy
