This album is comprised of music from the film, Music From the Body", and was released in 1970. I only recently discovered this album, and choose to get a used copy. The music is quite good, especially if you are a Pink Floyd fan of their 1960s music.

I had it on cassette, but my house burned down. So I came here to Amazon to buy it on CD. Only one sane person had it for a decent price (used). Everyone else wants $200 since it's rare and out of print. It's weird and quirky (1970, after all) but interesting, and mostly calm instrumentals. Only 4 songs have words. But NOT worth $200! If you find a sane person who is selling it at a decent price, go for it!

this is a strange group of progressive rock songs set to body noises. This was the soundtrack to the film of this. Which is out there somewhere? One song features Pink Floyd , the rest are roger waters songs. It's a decent effort but probably for collectors or eclectic music or pink Floyd completists like me. The cd sounds very good and it fit into my collection very well.

I love it but it's not for everyone. All of Pink Floyd plays on the last track.

I was surprised and quite amused by what I discover when I placed this disc in my player. But I must say that when I took the time to listen to the whole disc it really is quite a masterpiece. Don't expect to find a Pink Floyd album here but for any serious "Waters" fan it's a must have!

Waters' first song is mostly biological noises, I did not find it pleasant lol, but the others are worth a listen, I haven't listened to the other tracks that weren't Waters' work, I will get around to them in time, I bought it just for the Waters tracks. I'm happy with my purchase

Body Talk Soundtrack
This is the soundtrack album to go with the 1970 film The Body, by Ron Geesin (orchestrator of Atom Heart Mother) with the help of Roger Water of Pink Floyd. Amongst the numerous bodily function noise loops with music, there are 4 excellent Waters tracks: Seashell & Stone, Breathe, Chain Of Life and Give Birth To A Smile. Seashell & Stone and Breathe would appear to be early incarnations of Breathe from Dark Side of the Moon. The last track, Give Birth To Aa Smile, being played by an uncredited Pink Floyd. If you are a Floyd fan this is a must have cd, even it you are just wanting to save your old LP. While the instrumentals are quite melodious, to the casual listener the sound effects might become a tedious interlude while waiting for the songs. My advice search for it and buy it cheap!

Amusing and interesting

This is an amusing interpretation of the bodies noises as music. It has parallels with the brilliant "Several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict" from the Pink Floyd album Ummagumma. It uses different material but the overall idea is to hear things that may be common or garden sounds in a new way.

Love this sound track but then my father was the film editor for The Body. Maybe a little bias. Highly recommend

Half a good record

Take this record, trim off the tracks of body sounds, add the Pink Floyd tracks from the Zabriskie Point soundtrack, add Embryo (from a breath of fresh air, works, or even a ‘grey’ BBC recording) then mix to taste. You will then have Pink Floyd album to sit between More and Ummagumma
