Thought I was getting just the 180 gram remaster. Was delighted to find that this was a 3 album set with the early well recorded live concert from way back in the day. 1968 I think. The product description was very vague when I bought it. It was on sale for a good price for just the 180 gram. Very happy with this. Sounds great. Good quality all way around. No need to explain how good the album is, as most everyone knows Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest rock bands of all time if not the best. Maybe someone screwed up my order. That's how it feels. Kinda one of those, START THE CAR, moments when I opened it up. All the albums are 180 gram. Have to find a protector sleeve that fits it though. It's huge!
Delivered and in good condition. Maybe, as we look back now, a bit too much "borrowed" by Jimmy but this is essentially a "live" album with the best band ever (respectfully sorry to you Beatles and Stones fans but I agree with Jack Black) just bursting to get out. Listen to the drumming on this album and then play "Highway to Hell" and you'll hear the difference between a memorable back-beat that adds to and helps define the songs and one that just plods along in line with most Top-40 tunes (which it essentially became). The first album was trashed by most mainstream rock critics so there's the second reason for folks like me to embrace it.
The first Zeppelin album is an outright classic. Many consider this to be the pinnacle rock debut album. They even bettered this one soon after with Zeppelin II. I say better in some ways but both are excellent.
Zepplin I tells us all how much the band was influenced by the blues. Robert Johnson, Leadbelly, John Lee Hooker, and songs like Hats Of To Roy (Harper) are direct indicators how Zepp wanted to be both a rock and blues British band that would take the USA. Having the US branch of WEA at your corner helps especially when it was Ahmet Ertegan, one of the music industry legends helming your image and distribution of product.
The mastering for this reissue is excellent. some obv improvements over the original although not as much so as some of the other titles like Zepp II, III. Go out and buy it just for the 2nd record alone and your good. Oh, I forgot- you can get the Deluxe Deluxe edition which has 3 LP's- go for that instead.
As good as it gets, Led Zeppelin Deluxe Remastered Edition on 180g vinyl is worth the extra cost. Nothing like replacing your old scratched Zeppelin albums with a big time up grade. One thing about Zeppelin's music, it is timeless, sounds as fresh today as it did when it first came out. One thing about Led Zeppelin, their albums 30 years later are still out selling most of the new artists working today...gee I wonder why that is?
this deluxe edition i was a bit disappointed in...out of all the remastered deluxe editions i've bought from this series i found this to be the poorest of them...sound is improved but it's not as sharp as the other remastered deluxe editions....and the 2nd cd is live and i don't think it's that great but nice to have anyway...still worth having to go along with the other deluxe editions...just not as good as the others...too bad to cuz a lot of my favorite zeppelin songs are on this album...but go get it anyway!!! lol

Bella confezione. Ottima la masterizzazione. Numero 1 in tutti i sensi. Non puoi non avere questo album se ami gli Zeppelin e il rock anni ‘70. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.
