      Critics Consensus

Murder Mystery reunites Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler for a lightweight comedy that's content to settle for merely mediocre.

Wenlei Ma News.com.au Murder Mystery's predictability and cliches are comforting - which has entertainment value if you're not looking to be challenged for 90 minutes. Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 21, 2019 Full Review Roxana Hadadi Pajiba Watching Murder Mystery is a slog, and I still can't comprehend how the same dude who wrote Zodiac wrote this, and oh, did I mention this movie steals one of its final reveals from Legally Blonde? Jun 18, 2019 Full Review Karen Han Polygon It's no Punch-Drunk Love, but it's on the better end of the spectrum when it comes to Sandler's streaming selections. Jun 18, 2019 Full Review Sonali Kokra Firstpost Not all bad. It’s just bad as a murder mystery. What does it say about a thriller if its best parts are not the actual murder or the clues that lead you to the killer, but the squabbling, grumbling interactions of a bored, middle-aged couple? May 15, 2024 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies It’s not fresh enough to be called original and not smart enough to be called a parody. Rated: 2/5 Aug 24, 2022 Full Review Lonita Cook KCTV5 News at 9 I'm not criticizing character development or anything like that, I just kicked back... and watched a good movie. Rory M Predictable and at times cringe worthy but I don't know what else I expect from a film like this Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/25/24 Full Review Ella M "Death on The Nile" if it was set in Spain, and very very stupid. Not too bad. Nice to see Aniston and Sandler back together, and some of the supporting characters are pretty silly (in a positive-ish way). Not awful, not good. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review Ryan G This Adam Sandler version of the Glass Onion is a fun, non-pretentious ride. This is a movie that has something for everyone in the room. Jennifer Aniston's character steals the show! It's simple and silly…but sometimes thats what you need. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review Hue J Just a lovely movie, we've seen it twice already, very funny and fresh take on the genre. Great casting! Will watch again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/25/24 Full Review Donnie K There are far worse ways to kill a couple harmless hours on the couch but don't expect anything much more than that Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/22/24 Full Review D j Fun movie. Pretty dumb but a fun watch Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/24 Full Review Read all reviews
