5.0 out of 5 starsPoor Forrest

This is one of the funniest shows on television right now.
As other reviews and the summary of the show lays out, Forrest reviews "Life itself" taking random suggestions from people around the country hat he MUST fulfill to determine, on a five-star scale, just how good a particular facet of life is. The first season is great and gets even better as it progresses, becoming more hilarious and ever darker in its humor until the end of the season leaves us wondering how Forrest could come back for another season.
The second season is even more hilarious than the first as Forrest is gifted with two "vetoes" for his suggested topics to help fend off some of the problems from the first season's suggestions. When will Forrest use a veto? What would be serious enough for him to consider NOT reviewing something? Can there BE a six-star review, and would it mean the end of all meaning in life?
Forrest MacNeil is one of the most complicated, wide-eyed, innocent, naive, and tragic figures ever created. You almost hate yourself for laughing at the predicaments he gets into each episode. You feel sorry for him but so much of it is his own doing with his blind allegiance to the importance of his work. At least in his own mind.
I absolutely cannot wait to see how the second season ends, and what's in store for Forrest going forward.
