It saddens me greatly that great movies like this, made in 1939 can only be found, free of charge, after much searching. The very statements that this movie makes about greed, corruption still exist today, after 77 years. It would also seem that huge corporations, rather then offer a 77 year old movie, with such a powerful statement, to the public for free, they would charge for it. Thus, many that would benefit from the message of the movie will not see it, nor shall they ever.
I do hope it stays up on
Archive.org and that more men, women, and children would gain inspiration from its message if they can find it. I would not be surprised if its contents were pulled because of copyright problems arising out of a system which would suppress such a wonderful movie, to gain profit. We have all lost free tv as true freedom staggers against the surge of capitalism. May this nations eyes awaken soon, before it is to late.
