Terrible experience on my last visit to the resort. First, let me point out that prior to this visit I was a big fan of the ski park and a frequent visitor with both friends and family. This last experience changed all of that. I purchased 5 adult tickets online for $481.45 through Mountaincreek.com for myself and family for reservations on 12/30/20. They were full price adult tickets for everyone in my group even though my daughter was eligible for a Youth Ticket but could not obtain one because they were not available. Also, both my son and nephew are college students but were also unable to receive their eligible discounts. Although I do not agree with these decisions made by Mountain Creek I do understand them. The pandemic has altered many things including the way ski resorts run. What I do not understand however is why I was forced to purchase full price adult tickets when the mountain was CLEARLY understaffed and not functioning anywhere near what it should have been. Snowfall cannot be controlled, but the day we arrived there were essentially only 2 trails open for what seemed like a full park of visitors. One of which is the equivalent of a beginner bunny hill. This led to wait times of more than 30 minutes for a run while walking with our expensive ski gear getting damaged on the bare asphalt. (Rubber mats were only placed down for the last 10 feet of the very long line). And due to the large number of guests compared to the extremely limited number of trails available it made for a horrible experience. After reaching out to Guest Services and informing them of the unfortunate expedience, I was basically blown off proving that they do not care about their customers.

‘’I would not recommend the Mt. Creek ski resort to my worst enemy! Waist of time and money. The management is rude and not hospitable. The only people who supervise the chairlifts, were helpful and nice. We come this year on weekdays to avoid the weekend's big crowd. This year is different, because lots of people work remotely and they come during the weekdays as us. It means that a lot of people come in the middle of the week. It gets very crowded. We stayed in a line for 30-35 minutes, for a very short ride down to the base. Two rides in more than in one hour, on very short trails, is an insult. Parents had to drag their skis, while staying in 1 ml line, with small children. It was so obvious that they suffered, and so everyone else. We asked the management to open the Triple chair, to move the line quicker and the management refused to do so. The South Peak does not open till 12pm. Vernon has only one gondola running. There are no other means to get to the top of the peak. They refused us to bring our car to drop off and to pick up the ski gear, to the front of the lodge, as we did that for the past few years. This year is challenging enough for lots of people. Why to make our time even more miserable? Mt.Creek advertised itself as fun and nice place. No, its not! They take your money and make you suffer by insulting you with their non existent hospitality.

Not COVID safe. Extremely crowded. We came at 8:30 am and parking lot was more then half full. Lift waiting time started from 15-20 min to over 20-30 minutes. Even at granite peak lift waiting was about 10-15 minutes. They advertise limited amount of people. Not true. There are much more people this year. Half of the trail just opened up after big snowstorm. Before they were closed and everyone had to use main lift. South peak is also full of snowboarders smoking weed. Not kids friendly at all. Wait time there is about 20 min as well. We also went for snowtubing in the middle of the week. Started out OK, but in 20 minutes a lot of people came in and waiting time became 20 min for each ride. They don't limit people, no social distancing at all.

Wait time on the lift line was 30 mins for the gondola! Staff were rude. They have a triple chair lift but they didn't open it. Their reason was that people are sick and out of work. Isn't that all the more reason to hire others who need the work? There was NO social distancing on the lines. They advertise great conditions to encourage people to come, but when you get there you get bad service. With the long lines, you can expect to do maybe 1 run every 45 minutes.

We went on a Wednesday afternoon at around 1230. The parking lot was extremely full and you have to walk quite far to get to the main lodge/lift areas. Once I got to that area, I found out that I had to walk all the way back to the parking area to claim my tickets. Once we got on the very long lift line, no one was enforcing forcing mask rules, I would say 50% of people were wearing masks and other 50% were not wearing at all or not wearing them properly. No one from the mountain was enforcing mask wearing or distancing while waiting on lift lines. I was quite disappointed by that. I was also not impressed by the $90 adult lift ticket price for mid week. I would not recommend going to Mountain Creek. Nor will I be back.

The mountain was PACKED. Lines were so long that it wasn’t worth going. If the mountain claims they’re limiting capacity for Covid safety, they’re either being dishonest or ‘forgetting’ to check tickets. They have no right requiring advanced purchase of timed tickets when the time means nothing. Ours were for 11am and my son first got in a chairlift at 12:30!

Honestly the most disgusting customer service I have ever seen in my life. The establishment is filthy and they operate with the understanding that they are always right. No one will ever listen to you, try to help or ensure that they are operating up-to-par. I have lived next to Mt Creek for 30 years and it gets worse and worse. Drive a little farther and get what you pay for.

Positive: The hotel resort is really nice.

Negative: I want to write this review to warn families and save them the agony of going to a ski resort that is terribly run. First, be prepared to wait hours on end for boots and separately for skis. In addition, they oversold everything so there were no poles. Most importantly, the slopes were overcrowded to the point it was not safe. A ton of snowboarders and you see people crashing into each other left and right. Please take a look at all the one-star reviews. I wish I had. The situation has actually been the same apparently for a few years. People waiting in line were all complaining and saying they would never visit again. Neither will I.

I am currently at Mountain Creek with my family. The skiing conditions are the worst I’ve experienced in my 40 years as a skier. The mountains are mostly dirt, mud and rocks. I understood this was a possibility when I made the decision to ski in NJ in March, but my gripe is that I was tricked into paying $1,300 for three days of skiing. MC should have told us that the conditions were dangerous before selling us ski passes for three days of unskiable terrain. After one of my sons was insured after being stopped in his tracks on a huge patch of mud, I requested a refund or at least a comp for next season. Augustina, the rep in charge, was very rude and told me that the tickets were nonrefundable. She turned her back on me and my son and refused to listen to our perspectives on the dangerous conditions. Mountain Creek’s terrible customer service coupled with their willingness to allow patrons to ski at such risk has caused them to lose me and my entire friend and family group as customers in the future.

If I can give this place less than 1 star I would. if you plan on going snow tubing DO NOT!! We drove hours to get here and all there was, was a little hill that's basically the size of a driveway. If your going with little babies it's good for them but anyone older then 10 is absolutely a scam! I don't know why they would even think it's okay to charge people to go down that hill. The hills you have to walk to get there seemed bigger than the snow tubing section. We weren't the only ones complaining either, those behind us were as well! We went to Camelback ski resort last year and it was a great experience if you want to have a good time go there! Big mistake trying this new place! !! I even tried to see if I can put the snow tubing credit towards something else in the resort and they said no. So it was a waste of a drive, money and time.
