This was an interesting visit to see history that has been made and that this ship was a part of it. Seeing some of the old tech that was capable of running a ship this size that carried so many people and so much equipment. There were radios on board that I maintained when I was in the Army in the late 70s and early 80s. Obviously, the equipment was used by multiple services. I only wish we had had time to see everything on the tour but we needed to make our ferry to Ft Sumter. This is a trip that will have to be made again.

Strawberry festival was amazing! Loved all the shows and contests they had, enjoyed watching the dog show and pie eating contest. Only con about the festival was how they charge $1-$3 to use my card to buy food and drinks, and even to play games.

The views were amazing. Great little gift shop that sells food and other items. Great place to sit and relax and watch the boats in the harbor.

There is a lot of nature to see here and the signs are informative. It's incredible to have this to share with people.

This was a great place to walk and be out with nature. We like how it was easy to follow and color coded for each trail. Easy trails.

Wonderful place to stay. Can get into Charlerston and to the beach easily without the craziness of navigating the city. Great restaurants.

Captain Toby and the crew at OSA had us out and sailing within 15 minutes of arrival. Clean, well maintained safe vessel with plenty of room for everyone. Toby shared his wealth of knowledge on sailing and Charleston history. My daughter took the tiller and barely gave it up for the whole 3 hours we spent on the water. Thanks for the "Intro to Sailing" we will definitely be back ... Sleepy Zig Zag and Co.

you might just stumble upon this memorial because the signage is not easily seen. We were driving by and just stopped to check it out.

It's a fine visit for dedicated NPS fans, but otherwise not really worth the time. The house was closed for our visit, though we didn't miss much because (1) there really isn't anything original about it and (2) you can see inside the windows into the small rooms. The grounds are a quick and easy walk, though again not really related to the 18th century. I think, if there are Pinckney fans out there, you probably already know everything from reading ahead rather than learning more on site.

Great place for a walk, very peaceful and lots of scenery. This was suggested to me by a local working at our hotel.

According to the local lore, the bridge was the first causality of the Civil War as the Union forces on Fort Sumter destroyed it as it was used to supply Fort Moultrie. Haven't read anything to verify this but its sounds plausible and makes for a good excuse to visit here. If you need one. Nonetheless it gives an interesting perspective as you can see both forts from here.

We took our son there to cool off and get off the beach for awhile. We arrived after 3pm and the price is a little cheaper. They are open until 6. He loved the big water slide. There is a splash pad, lazy river, smaller slides, and more. The staff is very friendly. They have several life guards who seem to keep a good eye on things. They keep the area clean. There are big umbrellas over a wading end of a pool, if you are wanting to cool off, but not go through a splash pad or slide.

We played Derailed and had a great time. It was the first time we started an Escape Room broken into teams and it was more challenging! Wish we could do this ne again!

The location has several activities to choose from. They have 2 courses of mini golf, a good sized arcade with VR rides, a food stand with icees and such, a go cat track, axe throwing, shop to cash in game tickets. Can spend several hours here. Good family fun.

Parking and driving can be challenging around the area and this is one way to avoid that. You can set out on foot from the different stops and pick right back up again when your done.

This tour was amazing! I went with 2 other friends, one is a history buff & the other just likes to go with the flow. It was a great activity for us, as we learned history facts along the way & even got to see parts where Outer Banks was filmed!
