About
This spellbinding and risque cabaret has been drawing in the crowds with its pulsating songs performed by a talented dancers dressed in outrageous costumes. Keep an eye out for the dizzying can-can dance, which is one of the show’s highlights. There are usually two evening shows—for the full experience, opt for the dinner and show package. The VIP ticket typically includes privileged seat access, half a bottle of champagne, chocolates or macarons, and a complimentary coat check ticket. Matinee shows available on certain days, too. – Tripadvisor

- Carol H3 contributionsIt’s ok that’s ital and show. The service at the meal was so slow. Meal was ok ish. Felt like it was thrown at you. It’s an ok must go experience. The meal was ok ish service very slow one bottle of champagne between 2 people. We were sat at a table for 6 for the meal but then 4 more people joined us they were here for just the show it was very cramped I couldn’t get out to use the toilet. Doors open at 6-45 pm we arrived at that time and sat at a table just after 7.30 pm so a long time to stand and wait with no communication. The show was good the strong men were amazing and the flexible lady was incredible the rest of the show was good . Topless dancers so don’t go if this would offend you. Seats are allocated randomly but we did have good seats in the centre. I have been and No I would not go back. Staff need more training in how to treat customers we found spilt drinks no eye contact no individual care to customers. At nearly £400 for people with dinner I would expect more the staff need to attend cirque sole in Mexico to understand excellent customer service and value for money.Visited March 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten March 28, 2023
- WeLove2Travel2345Los Angeles, California232 contributionsFabulous Show!My husband, daughter (17 years), and I visited the Moulin Rouge in March 2023. We enjoyed the evening show tremendously. It was very entertaining to watch. There were so many fantastic numbers, from can-can, to roller skating, to a lady swimming with huge snakes. The sets and costumes were beautiful, as was the theater. Each number was more exciting than the last. We loved it all and were very entertained. I've seen some big productions in Vegas and I enjoyed the Moulin Rouge so much more. I highly recommend this show to anyone visiting Paris.Visited March 2023Written April 4, 2023
- Ruby RedGreensburg, Pennsylvania661 contributionsJust OkayMy husband and I attended the show at the Moulin Rouge April 18th at 9PM. Our tickets did not include dinner or champagne. We were seated at a table and could not see the stage very good. I guess you need to at least purchase champagne to get a decent seat. The show was good with pretty and colorful costumes. The singers lip synced. There were acts of strength which were impressive, a swimmer with snakes not impressive and two roller skaters which were good. All in all an average evening and I guess when in Paris you should go at least once. The event space was really crowded and our concern was if there is a fire how does one exit the building? So I guess we felt it was an average evening with some potential safety issues.Visited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 19, 2023
- JKCDMom392 contributionsJust go!Ok, this has been on my Tourist list for a long time. Finally checked the box and thats been done. We had a ball here. We booked just the experience with Champagne. The Champagne is marginal (sweet), and if you like that, they ou are ok. We had to flag down our waiter to upgrade our bottle of champagne, and they have better champagne available. Beer and other wines are available as well. I was not prepared for the full frontal nudity . But, it worked. The costumes were amazing and the talent was fantastic. We had a good time. Give it a go! Its a kick!Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 18, 2023
- RaynesMark225 contributionsSpectacular two hour show even if the crowd is packed in like sardinesThe building of course is inconic on the outside and the inside. The best thing about visiting the Moulin Rouge is of course the show which boasts some cleaver and colourful stage sets and props, the girls are spectacular with guys really just additional props to support the girls. The costumes and stories told through dance are wonderful and interspersed are circus acts which themselves are no slouches and certainly had the crowd glued to the stage. The whole thing lasts about two hours so it is value for money. The downside is the seating, they sure pack the audience in to some rinky dinky little tables and seats. My advice is get there early as the seats are not pre alllocated. Dont turn up at the last minute and expect the best view. Of course the more you spend on your ticket the better your options, I just came for show and one I had sorted out my legs my view if the show was unimpared and I enjoyed every moment of it. I know if its tradition that people eat and party here (there is pre show entertainment), but if I was in the Moulin Rouges shoes I would rip out those tables and put in proper theatre seating. They could still have a restauarant gallery. There is of course some mild nudity but believe me you hardly notice as it is all done so tastefully. This is an art form and not the tourist trap it is often made out to be, I will visit again.Visited July 2023Written July 15, 2023
- Tracy SSterling Heights, Michigan16 contributionsDon't waste your time unless you have never been to burlesqueI loved the area Moulin Rouge is in. However we had front row seats and I was very disappointed. I have been to burlesque shows in New Orleans and Key West that were much better. Being world famous I thought the show would be amazing. The only good things about it were the costumes with the large feather headdresses. The acts in between the burlesque were amazing. Definitely not worth the money. They do have a very good band before hand and you can dance. The food was so so. We went as part of our Trafalgar tour so were treated very well, but even that didn't make it worth the money.Visited September 2023Traveled with friendsWritten September 22, 2023
- EV88Cheshire, United Kingdom256 contributionsBetter than expected. Great food pre-show. Entertaining evening. Seating rather cramped.Service was very good, as was the food. Veal was beautifully cooked and served mediums to medium rare. Entertaining show. Not sure about the semi-naked dancers - is that still necessary in 2023? Clever mix of acts - loved the quirky acts.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 1, 2023
- JayT&HayThetford, United Kingdom185 contributionsI can’t speak French, so I’ll let the funk music do the talkingHad the most magical 30th Birthday evening watching the show. A bottle of champagne really made the experience special too. The detail of everything was so beautiful and the way the table is designed for your party makes it feel intimate when you’re actually in a crowded room! The show itself was amazing and you didn’t need to be able to speak French to understand what was going on, amazing voices and dancers throughout!Visited November 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten October 19, 2023
- Marg SSydney, Australia633 contributionsMoulin RougeWhat an absolutely amazing show, and glasses of champagne to accompany the performance! Words can’t describe the fantastic dancers, acrobats, you name it, all incredibly talented people. Certainly not a cheap night out, but truly memorable. So glad we were able to attend with a group of friends.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 19, 2023
- Susan_Ortega32 contributionsFantastic showWe had a fantastic night, the show was amazing and definitely worth going to see. All the staff were great and very helpful. We booked the show and champagne for 9pm, my fiancé isn’t a fan of champagne so he was offered 2 different drinks of his choice instead which was nice. We arrived 30 minutes before the show and got fantastic seats. The seating is tight, 6 people to a small table but it was manageable. I would recommend anyone visiting Paris to go if you can. Watch out for taxis outside after the show, we asked one and he wanted €75 for any journey in Paris, a total rip off. Walk a bit further away before trying to get a taxi and ask for a price first.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 19, 2023

As someone used to professional shows this was disappointing. Spectacular costumes but dancing not in time, more performance needed rather than going through the motions and singing seemed mimed (along with unnecessary miniature ponies). Champagne package good value and many may feel that it is necessary to make the evening bearable. Others who are not used to theatre and professional musicals may enjoy it more.

I bought show-only tickets for the Moulin Rouge, so I cannot comment on the food. The ticketing process was a simple online booking system and we showed our tickets via our mobile devices upon entry. There was a long line and wait to get in, however being a historic venue we were not expecting a modern stadium experience.
I come from the perspective of someone who has worked in theatre and corporate productions. I have also attended shows in places such as Broadway and the West End and I'm happy to pay reasonable money for a professional production.
For me and my companion the Moulin Rouge show was extremely dissappointing. The show appeared to have not been updated since the 1980s. There was no continuous story line. The music sounded like a karaoke backing track and the vocals were lip-synced. At one point the vocalists were holding flashlights to their faces as "lighting".
The choreography is out of date and the sets are gaudy. The costumes ranged from spectacular to terrible. The use of live animals (snakes specifically) in the show says everything about how out-dated the Moulin Rouge has allowed itself to become and a reflection of its ethics.
I do not recommend the Moulin Rouge to anyone, in fact I would actively deter a friend from going if they asked me. There is little value for money and though it may have once earned its global reputation, it is now nothing more than a tourist trap.

This was so bad that it took me several days to get over it. They squeeze you like sardines between people you don't know, you cannot move an inch of your chair. The show was a complete circus that made no sense whatsoever. Nothing of the show was made out of anything French. The only appreciable point was the beauty of the girls. If they were not there, they would shut down. Probably the biggest tourist trap of all that there is to do in Paris.

We were expecting big things with this show but after spending €240 we were left quite disappointed. The only positive comment I have is that the show is very colourful and that’s it. We were packed in like sardines. Many of us wouldn’t escape if there had been a fire. We were sat near the back with only a limited view of the stage due to a balcony being in the way. Quality of the dancing wasn’t great despite doing a number of shows every day. Lip syncing was awful in places, and to put animals through all that stress is not on in this day an age. The final straw was that they didn’t perform what we would consider a traditional Can Can. If it hadn’t been for the music, we wouldn’t have recognised it. Very disappointed.

The support acts, costumes and set were amazing (only reason I did not give a rating of 1). The rest of the show was average, can see half naked women dancing cheaper than this in any topless bar in Sydney. Totally disappointed that they used animals, the snakes looked stressed and the pony's were pulled around on stage. Certainly not what I expected from the Moulin Rouge.

Stunning opulent theatre, amazing costumes, fantastic assembly of dancers I could not compliment them more. However. Drinks and tickets are extremely overpriced, I’ve seen cheaper shows with more content. I’d recommend going for the experience but never a repeat visit. They also use live animals in the show which is highly unethical and there were no warnings about this on the tickets. The 3 special acts were incredible, the contortionist, strong men and roller blading couple were spellbinding.

First of all, if you are any sort of animal lover (like myself) do NOT give this show any of your money. I wish I had looked into this myself before attending.
The show was quite horrific - distasteful costumes, out of time dancing (I think some of them must have been on work experience) and a woman wresting snakes in a tank of water. Oh and ponies... I didn’t know I was off to a petting zoo.
Honestly though, it was really quite bad. For a moment I thought I was in Blackpool and then I thought that was unfair on Blackpool. Or maybe I was on punk’d.. but the reality is this cost £85 per ticket and I couldn’t wait to get out. We were terribly disappointed - I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would enjoy it. At one point, a woman was singing suspended from the ceiling... but they didn’t have a spot light so she was legit holding a torch on her face?
The circus acts were great however. But they were on for 5 mins each (3 different acts). The seats we had were good, we were on a table for 6 with me and my sister and one bloke. Everyone else was packed in like sardines. The room was beautiful and some of the tasteful costumes were amazing. There wasn’t a story line of any sort and most of the singing (miming) was in french.
It’s 2020 animals shouldn’t be used for entertainment.
I honestly cannot get over it. Save your money and visit a West End show in London for 1/2 the price.

This was our second visit to Moulin Rouge. The food was nice, the show was varied and exciting with acrobats, snakes, stunt skaters...
The young black wine waiter was lovely. The older waiter who served the food was somewhat unrefined, considering the price. The waiter almost threw my husbands plate to him across the table. The experience could be elevated if the food waiters were a little more professional.

I’ll start by saying the experience was good, my husband thought it was excellent. It’s a variety show of sorts like something you see on a cruise ship except topless. The acts were good but the lip syncing was bad and the dancing was worse. I’ve seen a lot of shows and these were the most out of sync dancers that I have ever seen. I wanted to love it but when you’ve got 20 pairs of legs all on their own beat it’s hard to love, especially since I love dance acts. So if dancers being out of sync doesn’t bother you then you’ll probably love the show(my husband did). I couldn’t get past it since the tickets cost so much and this show is so famous, I just expected more

The costumes and set were spectacular and I’d recommend it just for that. However for the price of the ticket, I would expect phenomenal dancing from the performers. They reminded me of dance routines 10 year olds perform. Although the dancing was super simple I expected the quality to be something like the radio city rockettes but it was very far off.
Tables and seats were squashed extremely close together which would make it uncomfortable if you have back or neck issues due to the constant twisting to get a view

Alas their cancellation policy is huge and airtight - no refunds! Maybe you ask the Conceirge at the hotel you were going to stay if they can sell them for you to guests staying at that time! Good luck.

My daughter and I were supposed to go to the Moulin Rouge show tonight (We’d, 7/5/23) at 9:00/21:00, I can’t make it.
I can sell them for €150 to someone within the hour? (I originally paid €272)
Is anyone interested?
Can you get a tour to Giveny Monet's Garden and also Paris on the same day will be in Le Havre on Princess cruises for the whole day can't find any tours that will take us to Monet's Garden and also to Eifel Tower

Good afternoon! The Jardins de Claude Moneyt in Giverny are at least an hour away by car. I have never been but my husband and daughter dud while she studied in Paris and they said that it was amazing. Since you are on a cruise, a safer bet eould be to go to L’Orangerie museum in Paris. Many Claude Monet waterlillies murals there. You would also be able to go to the Eiffel tower. Hope this helps!

I booked the 11pm show (show actually starts at 11:30). Will it be a problem is we don't get there until 11/11:15pmpm? (Everything says to arrive at 10:45pm.)

Shouldn’t be a problem, there’s a singer on first and a lot of people arrived during that time, you should be fine. We were advised to get there an hour earlier but would only have missed the singers, which were very good. Hope this helps
