Audience Member Really really dumb, its like a softcore porn for teenagers Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Contender for one of the worst self-serious movies i've ever seen. Misguided social justice tropes, abysmal acting (though the character of Pearl is almost tolerable) and utterly ruinous to vampire lore. I've come to accept vampire movies are 1 in 1000 if you're going to rate them by watchable, but this one has so many inconsistencies it feels like a competition between writers for who can out-stupid the other. The few gory blood scenes seem forced and out of place, yet it's not a light hearted movie and humor is nowhere to be found. Barely watchable on a second monitor while you're working. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Perhaps after watching this movie you will never wanna take a chance and wast a part of your life watching another horrible horrible movie.... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Not scary or funny but fun anyway. Touch of nickelodeon farce on the sexual repression & sublimation that vampires represent. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member It was quite awful and cringe worthy. The whole vampire thing is just a bit too outdated now. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member stick to acting James Franco, & in my opinion, you're not that good at that either. This was worse than a bad B Movie Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Stef Schwartz Autostraddle Surely the greatest artistic achievement of our time... Why does this movie exist? Aug 17, 2021 Full Review Geoff Berkshire Variety It's a bold choice to devote a solid minute of the running time to the famed "Macbeth" monologue including the line, "a tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury signifying nothing." Bold, and like the rest of the movie, a little too self-aware. Jun 20, 2016 Full Review Brian Moylan Guardian While Mother May I Sleep with Danger? aims to be both a remake and a parody it fails on both counts. Jun 20, 2016 Full Review Brittany Volk Tampa Bay Times The monsters here serve as larger metaphors, but thankfully Danger's heavy-handed themes don't kill a fun campy Saturday movie night. Sep 6, 2018 Full Review Chris Alexander Alexander On Film It's probably the most unnecessary and unwanted remake in film history and yet Franco plays it straight (ahem) and respectful. Aug 14, 2018 Full Review Allison P. Davis The Ringer [Mother May I Sleep] is both a knowing study of Lifetime camp and an updated execution of it. Aug 14, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews
