Family day out fun for all
Today we had a family trip to mote park including the dog ,it was fantastic. It was great to see the train still running after all these years which I went on with my brother bringing back lots of memories. The car park is a reasonable price to only £2 for 6 hrs or over 6hrs it's £12 Also lovely to see so many ducks and Canadian geese which all had duck food. The paths are much better as you have a choice of steps or a ramp that leads down to the riverside As for the cafe much better than it was the food was great. Every member of staff was very happy, hard working and friendly. This is the second time we have been in one week , we will be telling our friends and families of the massive changes for the better. Lovely to see all the dogs being part of the family and not just a dog. The play park is fantastic for younger generation, with lots of exploring to do. If you don't believe me then take a trip yourself you will not regret it. We will come again for certain.

    Excellent for walking
A very large area which is excellent for walking (and also for use as a picnic spot [when the weather is warm enough]). The paths are well maintained and are both wheelchair and pushchair friendly. There's a large lake (boats for hire are available at certain times of the year), a historic boathouse, a historic waterfall and a building called the Volunteers Pavillion (which has a history all of its own). There's a large playground for children and an adventure park. There's also a very good cafe and, in the same block, are clean toilet facilities. There's a large car park which is reasonably priced at under £2 for six hours.

Mote Park Maidstone - Great for Photographers
A beautiful park, especially for photographers and videographers, as there are plenty of wildlife there on or near the huge lake. There a cafe, and toilet building that is very clean at all times. Plenty of car parking spaces too - even an overfill car park as well.

    Beautiful park
Came to this lovely park to meet friends and have a walk round with the kids. It’s a lovely park with lots to do, the swing park is good and it’s nice by the lake watching the remote control boats wizz around. There’s a cafe to pick up coffees and toilet facilities

Disappointed that none of the invasive brambles and dead plant material has been cut back from around the lake. At many points especially from the cafe it has all piled up so high that it is nearly impossible to see the lake at all from the pathways. I remember this was done in the past. I understand that dead material and brambles are good for the wildlife and provide natural cover for birds etc, but at least the viewing and vantage points could be tidied up to allow better views across the lake to the hills beyond. Also, it was very strange not to see any spring flowers at all ... no daffodils, crocuses, bluebells or woodland flowers seem to have naturalised in this park. Has the council discouraged their growth, I wonder? The result is a rather bland look to the park when it could be full of cheerful Spring-time blossom.

What a beautiful place, had a lovely walk around the lake. Afterwards we stopped for refreshments at the cafe.
Parking is priced well and the park for the children is amazing.

I visited Mote Park today for the first time and was really looking forward to taking advantage of all the leisure facilities available with my family. We were bitterly disappointed to discover that the crazy golf was closing at 14:30 on a busy summer afternoon!!! The rather feeble excuse being that there may be a storm coming which never materialised anyway? Not great when you have travelled some distance to enjoy a full experience and only got to do the pedalo’s which was great fun.

Attended the Summertime Park Live Event by Lucus Live on Saturday 3rd June 2023. Great event. I drove some friends there due to a train strike and on arrival we were directed to the official 'event' parking on the field behind the event on Mote Park. Paid for the all day parking at £12 via contactless. A few weeks later, have received a parking penalty charge of £100. I appreciate there's ANPR as you enter Mote Park Willow Way, but event staff were directing all cars to the field to park out of the way of the leisure centre parking for obvious reasons, therefore we didn't even attempt to park at the leisure car park and simply followed instructions and paid for full day parking on arrival at the event parking field. I have sent the parking payment receipt to the civil enforcement company but just as a warning to others attending events at Mote Park to ensure you keep your receipt / ensure you pay via contactless so that you can provide evidence of payment if needed. Am sure I am one of many who will have received the penalty parking notice on this date as every car (and there were hundreds!) who were directed to the event parking field by the event staff will have been picked up on the ANPR as they drove through Willow Way leisure car park to reach the entrance to the event parking. There must be a better way to manage this on event days so that those vehicles who have paid for parking when they entered the field are then not sent PCNs. Would save lots of wasted time and money for all those people now appealing not to mention the admin time wasted in processing those appeals.
