- Trish BRegina, Canada76 contributionsBeautiful orchard with lots of variety of apples. Some weren’t ready to pick so if you want something special make sure it’s ready ahead of time. Great maps to help you find the apples. The shop was really cute to wonder around. The apples are deliciousWritten 26 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Ray LGreensboro, NC41 contributionsMy wife and I enjoyed spending and hour and a half checking out this little gem of a museum on a recent rainy afternoon. What's interesting is they provide a docent to accompany you through the various rooms and displays, which allows them to keep everything more out in the open and therefore easier to see up close and understand. The docent was knowledgeable and kind, and in no way pushy or annoying. We were glad to have him along to explains things. I also wanted to mention that though this museum is about Burke County, many of it's displays really apply to the entire US, so you're learning some really interesting, useful things not just local history. Overall we had a great time.
Oh and it started POURING when we got ready to walk back to our vehicle, which was actually parked several blocks away as we'd been looking and walking around town. Well one of the kind museum volunteers offered and then drove us to our car. Something we both appreciated greatly because we would definitely have been soaked to the bone if we'd had to walk back. So yeah, nice people fun museum.Written 4 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The wines were quite good and we purchased several bottles. White wine is usually my favorite but the reds were outstanding!Written 19 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RickB657Lincolnton, NC50 contributionsWe love biking this greenway. There is parking at either end and midway at Catawba Meadows Park where there are also rest rooms. Well maintained, peaceful with several points of direct access to the Catawba River. If only it were a bit closer to home!Written 1 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- CaptainIrisSt. Michaels, MD25 contributionsWhat a gym this park is. There’s a playground area with lots of activities for the kids including swings and rope ladders and mini rock walls and slides. Lots of fun! The park has a lot of walking trails, there’s a frisbee golf course, and an adult climbing area that you can book ahead of time if you’re inclined. We wandered down along the rivers edge and found an area for the kids to play in the sand and water. They had so much fun they were asking us whentheycould go back as soon as we were leavingWritten 18 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - larryg425Westfield, IN188 contributionsHad a most enjoyable afternoon sampling a number of their delicious wines. Several versions of Blueberry-I liked the Semi Sweet Blueberry wine best, but both my wife and i also enjoyed Carolina White Moscato. Debbie was a most gracious hostess and took good care of us. They also have a good selection of cheese and crackers and a Charcuterie Board, as well as ice Cream.Written 12 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - edieks2017Morganton, NC10 contributionsA salad with fresh greens explains a lot. Onion rings that contain real onions. A substantial hand-formed burger cooked to your specs. Great attentive staff.
A terrific well-informed facilities manager.
The purpose of the visit was to eat, but you might also like to golf or buy Silver Creek merchandise in the Pro-Shop. ...Or just sit on the porch and admire the views of the South Mountains.Written 4 February 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
