Morgan Freeman seen with partner Lori McCreary... after he was accused of molesting step-granddaughter by mother of man convicted of her murder

Morgan Freeman looked to be in good spirits on Thursday evening at the AFI event in Hollywood honoring Denzel Washington.

The Shawshank Redemption star posed alongside his pretty partner of many years, producer Lori McCreary.

This comes after the conviction of the man accused of murdering his step-granddaughter E'Dena Hines, with whom it was alleged Freeman had an affair. The actor has publicly denied the allegations.

On Thursday evening the couple seemed to be in a good place.

The 82-year-old actor wore a black tuxedo and bow tie to the event with snazzy dress shoes

McCreary was beautiful in a navy dress with a sheer wrap that had cotton candy pink on the bottom in a smooth ombre fade.

Her blonde hair was worn down and she seemed to be in great spirits as she put her arm around her Hollywood icon beau.

In January, TMZ reported E'Dena Hines' killer, Lamar Davenport, was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Davenport was convicted of manslaughter in May 2018.

He was the boyfriend of Hines at the time when he took her life with a knife in August 2015 outside of their NYC apartment. She was only 33.

Davenport was acquitted of second-degree murder after his lawyer argued he was on PCP when he attacked E'Dena.

However, a judge subsequently found him guilty of first-degree manslaughter and gave him 20 years behind bars.

At the sentencing Davenport's mother yelled 'Morgan Freeman molested her and he caused this' in reference to past accusations Freeman had denied.

During the trial, Davenport's attorney Beth Unger said that Hines, an actress who had appeared in Freeman's 2014 film 5 Flights Up, 'disclosed to Lamar Davenport and others that [Freeman] engaged in a sexually-inappropriate relationship with her.'

In the January hearing, Davenport said he was sorry for the incident and didn't 'remember what happened' in the killing of Hines.

Freeman was first linked to Hines in a 2009 National Enquirer report; he issued a statement in 2012 calling the allegations 'defamatory fabrications from the tabloid media designed to sell papers,' while Hines called them 'untrue' and 'hurtful' in a statement.'
