Victoria Luxford BBC.com Made with only a fraction of your average Star Wars or Marvel movie, but does so much with (relatively little). Sam Rockwell is just fantastic given that he’s largely in the film on his own. A tremendous sci-fi movie. Rated: 5/5 Jun 24, 2022 Full Review Ben Kenigsberg Time Out Rated: 4/5 Nov 17, 2011 Full Review Perri Nemiroff CinemaBlend Simple and alien-free example of the sci-fi genre. Slow, but there are so many details deserving attention, the chance to take them all in one only enhances the experience. Rated: 4/5 Aug 14, 2010 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Rockwell gives a matchless performance that demonstrates anger, depression, humor, sadness, frustration, desperation, and even mild insanity. Being in almost every frame, he captures the audience completely Rated: 4/4 Sep 4, 2023 Full Review Wael Khairy The Cinephile Fix the film is rich with philosophical ideas grandeur in scope...it presents them in a tightly focused and efficiently structured psychological thriller Jul 5, 2023 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand Essentially a one-man, two character piece, 'Moon' could be an old 'Twilight Zone' episode nurtured into a feature. Alex P Incredibly overrated. It's not necessarily a bad movie but it didn't live up to the hype. How it has this many good ratings and is considered one of the top sci-fi movies is disturbing. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/03/24 Full Review Graham S Great movie. One of the top 10 sci fi films of the last 20 years Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/24 Full Review David H Decent enough, gets better as movie progresses. Sam Rockwell was great. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/24 Full Review The Great John A G.e.r.d.i.e the dirty. Moon is a film that has definitely lost traction since it's release 15 years ago. But thanks to it's cult following and availability on streaming it has recovered. Moon isn't like anything else today, with Sci-Fi's these days containing constant action and... that's really all. But Moon is more of a story regarding clones and other interests to so many. The acting is on point, the dialogue is extraordinary and so many knots to unravel. I could not really recommend this as much as the statements above as it is something to experience within your household. Overall, while left in the rubble, thanks to the wide array of thought provoking ideas combined with undistinguishable acting and easy accessibility. Moon has blown up new sci-fi out of this world for the better. Grade: A+ On BBC iPlayer Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/24 Full Review Eric P I feel kind of bad as it got so many good reviews but it IMHO it was not very good. The acting was fine but the story was not interesting and it tried very hard to be esoteric and unique but it really did not do it in a way that inspired interest in the subject. The ending also just did not feel satisfying which can be good sometimes if it makes you think but this did not make me think it made me wonder why they made the movie and why RT gave it over 90... I really wanted to like it :( Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/24 Full Review Gabriel F Incredible movie! Sam Rockwell performance was amazing Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
