Reviews
- Edited 3 years agofun release. if you want to give your father quite an unorthodox gift for his birthday/christmas/whatever, this would be it. sound quality is kind of wobbly at the beginning of Astronomy Domine, but the further the better. it's crispy and can be enjoyed by average listener. i checked this boot on 2:1 home cinema speakers, and best parts of this gig like Embryo and Cymbaline sounded just out of this world.
as of quality of release. it's quite obvious that it's a bootleg. aside from pictures WHICH I HOPE were taken during the Montreux gig, there are also some overused photos of the band. but at least the source was hi-res and i can't see any pixels.
if you can't afford official Obscured by Clouds/Live at Pompeii box set, Live at Montreux can also be a good addition to your Floyd collection, if you want to put some early live Pink Floyd on your shelf.
CDs, especially the front print, feel cheap af. but i bet the average collector won't complain/spot the difference
dunno why Top Gear added additional Astronony Domine recorded the day after. it sounds exactly the same.
