The Monopoly Junior game designed for younger players is fast, simple, and features kid-friendly properties. This edition comes with 4 favorite tokens: Little Scottie, Little Hazel, Toy Car, and the famous top hat worn by Mr. Monopoly. Players move their tokens around the board, buying the properties they love such as the zoo, and a video game arcade. It's fun for them to place a "sold" sign on their very own property. Parents often enjoy introducing their kids to counting and the simple math of the transactions. Single banknotes keep the transactions fast and easy. When a player goes bankrupt, the others count their cash and the player with the most cash wins the game.     My 5 and 8 year old love playing this game with us! And we love it too, however the pieces you are suppose to put on the board, to indicate you own the property, end up getting moved all around. Either by a rolled die knocking them out of the way or my 5 year old “driving” the car too quick around the board…it happens. So I ordered Velcro adhesive dots and placed them on the board and the pieces that indicate ownership. Now they stay in place and game playing goes a LOT smoother. Hope this helps others!

    I grew up playing monopoly with my family on New Year’s Eve and it was some of my fondest memories! Our kids are still young, so I was a bit hesitant about jumping right into the original monopoly game on such short notice. We bought the games on New Year’s Eve Eve, got them the same night, and played until the ball dropped with our 6 year old (he was the only one left up to play!) He LOVED it. We played twice because it doesn’t take nearly as long as the original. The game itself is easy to understand, colorful, fun and a great starter game into monopoly. The pieces are cute, only one dollar bills for the money so it made counting easy, and the properties weren’t properties. So cute!! Definitely going to gift this to my nephew!
