HP has revealed when it intends to release the Omen Transcend 32, its alternative to the Alienware AW3225QF, Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P and MSI MPG 321URX, among others. HP has also confirmed how much the 4K and 240 Hz gaming monitor will cost, although it will be a while before anyone can actually pick one up.

Almost three months have passed since HP unveiled the Omen Transcend 32. To recap, the Omen Transcend 32 was one of many 32-inch, 4K and 240 Hz QD-OLED monitors that debuted at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. For reference, others include the Alienware AW3225QF, Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P and MSI MPG 321URX. However, Gigabyte and MSI have created multiple monitors based around the same Samsung Display Gen 3 QD-OLED panel, such as the AORUS FO32U2.

Subsequently, HP confirmed that the Omen Transcend 32 would launch with a lesser DisplayPort 2.1 connection than the AORUS FO32U2P. In short, while the latter supports Ultra-High Bit Rate 20 (UHBR20) for 80 Gbit/s transfer speeds, HP limits the former to UHBR10 and 40 Gbit/s. As a result, the Omen Transcend 32's DisplayPort 2.1 port offers as uncompressed a viewing experience as its HDMI 2.1 ports.

Surprisingly, HP now states that the Omen Transcend 32 will not be ready until the end of the year. According to TFTCentral, it has received confirmation that the monitor will reach the UK in December 2024. By contrast, alternatives that use the same panel like those mentioned above are already available globally. Additionally, TFTCentral remarks that the Omen Transcend will launch for £1,199. Thus, HP may be targeting an earlier release window for other markets like North America. Unfortunately, the company has not confirmed anything to that effect yet.
