A bit lengthy, but overall a very well-written and played drama. I had never heard of the playwrite before the film, but found it to cover just the right balance and humor and drama, a push too steing in neither direction. Very entertaining

Molière est un dramaturge et acteur qui veut succèder au théâtre. Il est pris dans les affaires de Monsieur Jourdain. Il aide M. Jourdain avec son aventure amoureuse. Pendant cette aventure, il tombe amoureux avec Mme. Jourdain. Nous observons alors la transformation de Molière d'un mauvais acteur en un dramaturge magnifique. Le film est très mal conçu parce qu'il dénature le personnage de Molière. La distribution du film est très mauvaise et n'est pas charmante. Le film ne fournit pas de bonnes informations sur les pièces de Molière. Le film change beaucoup l'histoire de Molière et crée une image fausse du 17ème siècle. Le film ne donne pas hommage à l'histoire du 17ème siècle et la vie de Molière. La romance dans le film est distrayant du thème et de la valeur historique. C'est film n'a pas les components pour un film historique. Il a un image fausse de l'histoire de Molière. Ne regarde pas le film Molière si vous aimez l'histoire parce qu'il en donne une image fausse.

Le titre de film est Moliere et c'est un film avec les tres bon acteurs. Le film etait sur la point adorer et dishonete. Dans le film, il y a cinq important personnage, Monsieur Jourdain, Elmire Jourdain, Moliere/Tartuffe, Monsieur Dorante, et Madame Celimene. Monsieur Jourdain amounet Moliere avec il parce que il adore Madame Celimene. Tartuffe est Moliere en disguese. Dorante et Monsieur Jourdain adorent Madame Celimene. Le point culminant Moliere parle avec Madame Jourdain et parle, il est tartuffe. Monsieur Jourdain descoviere Madame Celimene est tres mal et il est tres triste. En finalement, Monsieur Jourdain descoviere Moliere adore madame jourdain et Moliere aller. Le film, c'est n'est pas mal, c'est bien. Le film est tres unique, les personnage est tres bon, et l'histoire est interessant. J'ai recommande le film parce que le film est un amant film est beaucoup marrant. Tu fais que regarder les film moliere.

Molière posits that one of the writer Molière's most famous farces, Tartuffe, is based on Molière's experiences during a lost-to-history period of his life. Most of the movie is this flashback set in a frame of what show to put on when Molière's country touring troupe is given an aristocrat's theatre in which to perform. In this flashback, we are unsure whether the events truly happened or are Molière's dramatized version of the events. This gives the set decorators and costumers full rein to go over-the-top in recreating the 17th-Century. It also allows the actors the opportunity to push realism into farce. The Director and co-Scriptwriter, Laurent Tirard walks this tightrope deliciously. He is aided by tour-de-force performances by Romain Duris as Molière (Tartuffe), Fabrice Luchini as the bumbling nouveau riche Jourdain, and Laura Morante as his wife and Tartuffe's lover, Elmire. The highlight is Duris' improv performances as varieties of horses as he gives Jourdain acting lessons. Gorgeously photographed in period locations, with the pristine opulence of the rich contrasted with the gritty squalor of the players' lives. Molière gives us a taste of both Molière's life and his art. Bravo!
