Mohamed El Arouch extends his contract through 2025

Aged only 18, Mohamed El Arouch signed his first professional contract last July, for a period of three years. After playing the preseason with the first team, the French U-18 international has since played eight National 2 matches (2 goals) and 13 games with the U19s (in the league and Coupe Gambardella).

Having arrived at OL in 2017 at the age of 13, the native of Orange, who has always dreamed of wearing the Lyon jersey, notably distinguished himself this weekend by opening the scoring in the Gambardella final against Caen, before scoring his penalty and lifting the trophy with his teammates, a first for the club since 1997.
A technical and hardworking player, Mohamed El Arouch is the fifth player of the academy to extend his contract since the beginning of 2022, after Sekou Lega, Samuel Bossiwa, Castello Lukeba and Bradley Barcola, thus demonstrating the desire on the part OL and its young players to succeed together at the highest level.
