This park was much more larger than we expected! It is really nice for a family picnic with lots and when i say lots i mean LOTS of scenery. There are hike trails, creek trails, sky-divers and breathless views there

I used to go regularly when my kids were young and I ran an in-home daycare. A perfect spot for a lovely walk, fresh air and to enjoy nature. It is an excellent park for a photo shoot with trees and gardens for backdrops. Includes a covered area for eating, park for kids and restrooms. Plenty of parking. Hosts many of Mission's best activities throughout the year.

44 Acres of Beauty, History, cultural value. It started with an Institution of Catholic Priests " Oblates of the Virgin Mary" and St. Mary's Mission was built between 1882 and 1885. A girl's school was built in 1868. The buildings were torn down in 1965 and have been the subject of talks of reconciliation with the native community because of what took place in those schools where native children were taken away from their families and abused. In 2001 the Mission Indian Friendship Society erected a lovely Post and Bean Structure the "St. Mary's Memorial" to continue the reconciliation process.
This park is a favorite destination for families for picnics, gentle and more energetic walks, music festivals, various community events, people take their dogs for walks in some areas leashed and other areas they just let them loose and happy.
Is it a beautiful park with wide open spaces, many natural trees and others were planted long time ago, like chestnut trees, it has an orchard, a rose and rhododendron gardens, and D'Herbomez Creek runs through it. There are from there incredible views of the Fraser Valley and mountains.
The park has man made elements such as the original cast iron bell donated by the Sto:lo people; the "St. Mary's Memorial"; the ‘Norma Kenney House’ named in honor of the founder of the "Mission Heritage Association"; the foundations of the residential school buildings; pathways and benches; the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes.
This park is used on a daily bases by the community. With its sad beginnings today it is hope for a better present and future for all.

this has alot of trails for intermediate to hard you can hike up to the monesary and the view is gorgeous also has a great restauraunt with a great view of the frasers river they also have movie night out door festsivals

I walk in this park weekly as do many others. You can park at the east end of the park on Jasper Ave and walk west towards the main gate. You can grab a latte or lunch at the Blackberry Kitchen and sit and enjoy the scenic views of the mighty Fraser River. Wander up the path to the Grotto and admire the 360 view. The walking paths are stroller friendly.

Spent saturday afternoon celebrating my grandson's birthday party. Lots of room. This is where they held the annual father day's car show every year.

I have taken my 3 friends to visit the Grotto of Mother Mary as this was also their first time to visit the site. The feast day of Mother Mary is celebrated every 2nd weekend in August with procession and mass celebrated by the Archbishop. It's considered a pilgrimage site and pilgrims come to take a trek up to the Grotto in procession. People from other Archdioses come together to pray and bring food and make it also a day for a family picnic. Again the view is fantastic along the Fraser River

Nice and quiet when we were there. Nice and open, not crowded. Excellent views. Easy parking. A nice place to spend a few minutes with a coffee and a friend.

Well I was visiting Town my brother was involved in a ukulele group underneath the group gathering spot. It made for a wonderful setting for the group and allowed me a chance to wander around the grounds and read some of the historical markers. The weather was perfect and the overall park delightful. Later in my visit I ran on the trails and through the neighborhoods. There's a flower garden as well.

It’s a great. Park..In summer they free music Wednesday and Fridays..Lots of people walk there dogs here but must be on leash..
