Bosnia and Herzegovina's stalwart, Miralem Pjanić, expresses immense motivation and dreams of qualifying for the European Championship for the first time, as his team prepares to face Ukraine in the playoff semifinal in Zenica.
Ahead of the crucial Euro playoff semifinal against Ukraine scheduled for March 21 at Bilino Polje Stadium in Zenica, Miralem Pjanić, one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most seasoned internationals, shares his anticipation and motivation for the game. Pjanić is driven by a lifelong dream to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the European Championship for the first time in his career.
"I expect the game of my life. It's my dream to go with the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team to the European Championship. I've already made history by playing for my country at the World Cup for the first time, and I'd like to experience the Euros, which we haven't participated in so far. We have a challenging match ahead, but great motivation and our fans will be an advantage for our team," Pjanić stated.
He also commented on the Ukraine team, acknowledging their youth and strength. "They have a very quality team. They are young and strong. I have watched them several times, and they are a very good team that caused a lot of problems for Italy in the qualifiers. That speaks volumes about their qualities," added the Al Sharjah midfielder.
Pjanić reflected on Bosnia and Herzegovina's past playoff matches and the importance of mental preparedness and experience. He looks forward to the upcoming gathering with high motivation and a message for the fans: "We have fantastic supporters, and I hope we can make them happy, as well as the whole country. Bosnia and Herzegovina's national team will gather in Sarajevo on Monday to start preparations. In case of a win, the Dragons will face either Israel or Iceland in the final at Grbavica.
