- Brett2 contributionsUnfortunately, I only just visited this preserve for the first time just recently. It was a great surprise! It was a beautiful park with grassland, trees, and river-bottom. The facilities were great! Modern bathrooms, picnic area & playground as well as a disc golf course. I appreciated the several ponds and we loved the trails which were great for running. They also had a bee hive that could be viewed near one of the trails & the disc golf course. It was nice they also had some camping spots, though the RV spots were basically in a parking lot, but would probably be good if you came with horses and were just staying there to utilize the equestrian trails. Overall, we had a great time & look forward to heading back next time we are in Texas. PS...it's free! Great job Mineola!Written July 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Vicki M1 contributionWe had the very best experience at this facility! I will say that I was apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but I am so happy to report that it was not our experience at all. We took our 2 grandsons, who are animal lovers. It was difficult to leave because we were all having so much fun. Michelle is a great host and is so diligent about wanting everyone to leave with better knowledge about each animal and how they make this world a better place. She interacted with the kids and animals, and made sure that they were engaged in the experience. It was clear that she loved each animal and had a good relationship with them. Everything was very clean and all animals looked and acted happy, healthy and content. None of us could say which was our favorite.... they were all great!Written October 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WagaduMineola, TX89 contributionsWe were pleasantly surprised at the amount of displays and so well done! It appears to be a small place but every inch is used with interesting items of history of Mineola! Loved the movie theatre exhibit!Written May 25, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Joy MTyler, Texas, United States22 contributionsI love the quality and dedication of this farm.
I sadly drop one star due to a bad class experience- the $30 class started late so the end time must have been 30 min after schedule- I had to leave before the "best part" of the class sadly. When I expressed my disappointment, it was met with a shallow, "I'm sorry the class wasn't what you expected." No handouts- I strongly recommend scheduling extra time and carefully read the class description.Written December 22, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ken DMineola, TX11 contributionsWe stopped in for lunch at the All FAMOUS East Texas Burger and to our pleasant surprise, there was a whole other very nice restaurant called LaWaffalata AND this little hidden gem of a store LW Antiques -Vintage,Jewelry and Gift Store. This store literally had some of the most eclectic finds. Something for all women, men, as well as some handmade baby and children clothes. I am in love with this spot. I will DEFINITELY be back.Written April 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
