Unique culture that empowers employees to lead, innovate & drive results beyond the status quo! This is truly what separates Milwaukee Tool from the rest. Our never settling, always improving & one team mentality enables us to think beyond daily duties. Driving immediate impact to the organization & market disruption!

Pros
Good pay, decent benefits, some good people throughout organization.
Cons
Expectations are not aligned with reality. Brought in to change the way people thought about supply chain processes only to hit roadblock after roadblock. There was zero buy in or interest from internal or external departments. Certain leaders deliberately undermined ability to implement solutions. Resources were not made available to deliver and team was laid off entirely. They preach team mentality and working together, but everyone is busy being so “empowered & candid” that they only listen to their own voice. Obsessed with pushing Milwaukee way which doesn’t work for a company of their size. Trying to change someone’s mind is exhausting. Transparency was also preached, but non existent. Wasn’t even laid off by my actual boss, who continued to tell me I would be moving to a new team until the Friday afternoon before I was terminated. In the end they will tell you they care but it’s all about the bottom line and management making themselves look good at your expense. Team was an opportunity for boss to check of boxes in her reviews, not to grow and develop. Basically zero coaching during time there. Left to fend for self in hostile environment.

Pros
You will learn a lot and not realize it. The fringe benefits are great, such as the cafeteria and building. Most people are great and will help you out when you ask.
Cons
Lots of presentations! Seems like more work on them than actual work on the project. No bonuses or extra pay until manager level. So many middle managers! They will push you and load you up with work. If you have a family, less and less time will be with them. If you like to drink the kool-aid, you'll do great!

Pros
Only good thing is the pay
Cons
- Lack of communication from top down - No employee recognition unless you want to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week and when you take PTO you need to still have to have your work phone and take no break and respond to anything work related - they put too much work on one employee and do not resource teams. They expect one employee to handle responsibility that should be split up between five employees, and then fire that employee for not fitting the “culture” - managers literally expect you to work weekends - do not recommend this place unless you want to sell your soul to this company

Pros
Get to work on very cool products, given all the technical tools needed to succeed. Very little red tape.
Cons
Schedule rules all. If your project gets behind (it will), workload goes way up trying to catch up.

Pros
Great benefits and cafeteria! Working from home is also a plus.
Cons
Controllership Management is horrible. You never see upper management, unless there is an image function, ie, Zoo outing or bowling function. They are never in the office, nor does this person ever comingle with the rest of the team. None of them care about you or your career development, they are out to make themselves look good and that is it. Refusal of recognition is ridiculous. If they think you should not be noticed, they will deny you the rightful recognition. It's bad when a whole team doesn't like their manager! People are dropping like flies and fleeing from this toxic department.
6 - 1.0Branch ManagerFormer Employee, less than 1 yearNiles, IL
Pros
No pros. My time was never compensated no matter how many hours or sales or services that I provided. I can't believe I was hired as long as I was I should have left 6 months into this role.
Cons
underpaid, underappreciated. HR was terrible. Upper management didn't care about me until I actually was experienced enough to know how to do my job. They terminated me before I could even do my performance review and get my bonus for the year which If I had to guess would have only been over 2k. Dont work here would never recommend an actual friend of mine to actually work here in the future.
2 - 4.0Territory RepresentativeCurrent Employee, more than 3 yearsNew York, NY
Pros
Solid leadership, autonomy and ability to make your own schedule. Zero micromanaging if you get the right manager. Very easy to sell products. Gift cards given all the time for doing well. Brand new truck every few years, free gas and insurance etc. Many team events and dinners etc.
Cons
Below average pay for the amount of work and travel expected at times. Large scale presentations and events that occur during the year. Is either dead slow with nothing to do during the summer, or absolutely slammed like in October-Dec and April-May months. Expected to do more for less as you move up and even staying in roles. Bonuses at both manager and TR level are often very arbitrary and only paid out on percentage of growth compared to previous rep / year and are binary... you hit it or you dont, even if you miss it by 1%.
- 2.0Mechanical EngineerFormer Employee, more than 1 yearBrookfield, WI
Pros
Great Culture Cool Products Significant Project Ownership
Cons
Bad Work/Life Balance Consistently Excessive Work Hours Needed to Succeed Poor Leadership Promotions Given to Wrong People Lack of Dedicated Project Resources Lack of Appreciation Speed takes precedence over good Design more often than not Lack of Dedicated Test Engineers for Projects - Engineers have to do most of the hands-on testing
