Millie Bobby Brown is preparing for her most important role yet... as a bride!

The Stranger Things star, 19, is in the midst of planning for her wedding day with fiancé Jake Bongiovi, 21, and as she told Good Morning America on Thursday, it's all been "really exciting."

"It's such an amazing part of my life so far," Brown said while promoting her debut novel Nineteen Steps. "And just being able to do it with someone makes it even better."

Without sharing much else about her big day, Brown also opened up to GMA about life with Bongiovi — the son of rock frontman Jon Bon Jovi.

Reflecting on a viral video of her future husband doing her makeup (a.k.a. Bongiovi's debut on her makeup YouTube channel Florence By Mills), Brown revealed that she was pretty impressed with how things turned out.

"I'm so used to teaching him all things skin care, and then when I put the makeup brush in his hand I was really hesitant," she said of Bongiovi, who got engaged to the actress in April. "But I think he did a good job."

Apparently the hosts of the ABC morning show thought he did a good job too, or at least could see how happy the two looked, as they provided Brown with a little surprise. In honor of her engagement, the actress was presented with a custom cheese plate, complete with both her and her fiancé's initials and the Good Morning America logo printed on the front.

"Cheese night is going to be different in my house," Brown laughed.

Elsewhere during her GMA discussion, Brown opened up about her World War II-era debut novel, which was inspired by her late grandmother Ruth.

"When I was little I used to go stay with my nan, my grandmother, a lot. And she would tell me stories from her childhood, living through World War II," she said. "When I got older, and started to get into the industry, I thought, these stories felt so important to me and I was really passionate about bringing these stories to life. So Nineteen Steps happened and I was really happy that I could put all those stories onto paper, so that I could really immortalize my grandmother's stories and her presence."

The journey to the book, which is "loosely based" on Brown's grandmother and "parts" of herself, started before she met her now-fiancé, Brown explained. So while there's an American soldier somewhere in the mix, he wasn't necessarily inspired by Bongiovi.

"I was developing Nineteen Steps before I actually met Jake," she added. "So the American soldier is an idea that came along far beyond Jake, but Jake is of course the American in my life."

Bongiovi and Brown, who first sparked romance rumors in June 2021, got the nod of approval from one specific American earlier this year after announcing their engagement news — Jake's dad Jon.

While speaking on Andy Cohen's Sirius XM show Radio Andy , Bon Jovi, 61, responded to talk about his son and future daughter-in-law's ages (21 and 19, respectively) when he shared that he doesn't think age matters "if you find the right partner and you grow together."

"Growing together is wise," he said. "I think that all of my kids have found people that they think they can grow together with and we like them all."

"Millie is wonderful. Her whole family are great," he added. "Jake is very, very happy."
