I really liked my experience at Millburn Highschool! The teachers are very helpful, the school is a bit small but it works, and there is a lot of really awesome resources. My only complaint would be the competitive nature of most of the students there. It can be very unhealthy with the amount of comparison going throughout this school, but hopefully that can change with years to come.
My experience at Millburn High has been profoundly enriching and dynamic. The academic environment is challenging yet supportive, encouraging a deep love for learning. Teachers are dedicated and knowledgeable, always willing to help students excel. The students are encouraged to reach out for help and resources. The diverse extracurricular activities, allowed me to explore and develop new interests and skills. It connected me to the school community and beyond. The school culture promotes inclusivity and respect, encouraging students to be empathetic and socially responsible. The guidance provided for college preparation and career advice was invaluable. Overall, Millburn High has not only educated me academically but provided me with a holistic experience as a student. It has also prepared me well for the future ...and also life in general.
I attended many years ago, and it was a terrible experience. I was doubting whether to write a review, but it seems that it is still the toxic culture it was in the past. The administration only cares about keeping their college entrance rankings. The atmosphere is competitive, full of bullies, and teachers/guidance counselors do little to support anyone who is even slightly outside their preferred mold. Only grade grabbing is supported, not actual learning and critical thinking. Art and music are discouraged.
I was an international student who had recently moved from another country, and yet received no support or consideration. Think twice about sending your kids here. They can excel, and be well rounded if they attend a school that encourages you to be a Renaissance person with a heart vs to win at all costs.
