The View celebrated a season first today as they welcomed conservative Mia Love back to the stage, the first repeat guest host to make her way back to the panel during a historic Season 25. Love, a former Republican congresswoman from Utah, was celebrated during her first appearance — directly after the ever-controversial Meghan McCain had departed from the talk show — but the tides shifted during hot topics today. Audiences of The View turned on Love, saying she was a “very annoying” guest they weren’t excited to have back.

That may be because during the first hot topic, Love stepped on a few toes with some statements about the Second Amendment that left a bad taste in some viewers’ mouths. While discussing the recent Michigan school shooting, she persisted in saying she was a firm defender of the right to bear arms.

“So you have to put out there that you’re a 2nd Amendment supporter…” one user lamented as Love made her talking points.

One thing that particularly peeved The View fans was Love’s voice, a problem that stems all the way back to her first days on the show. Apparently, a producer at the show still couldn’t figure out how to turn her mic down.

“Mia Love. No. Her voice,” one user shared. “The parade of rightwingers on #theview is exhausting. Please, stop.”

The calls to stop the “parade of right-wingers” on The View may actually work, however. While some folks weren’t big fans of Love, whether they like it or not, a second shot at hosting may be proof that the show is thinking about bringing Love on full time. While some folks are excited, others are appalled.

“Lord what do y’all get outta inviting Mia Love’s annoying & quite stupid ass back to guest co-host over & over?” one user lamented. “The vote on her was a HARD NO.”

Love will only host for two days this week, meaning tomorrow (Dec. 7) marks her last day at the panel — for now, at least. Then, this Friday (Dec. 10), Laverne Cox will visit as a guest host on the show.

The View airs weekdays on ABC at 11/10c.
