AMERICAN ACTRESS, ARTIST, SINGER & DIRECTOR

Melora stars as Dr. Elizabeth Simmons in the new movie Clock” and also as Jacqueline Carlyle in 5 seasons of “The Bold Type”, both currently streaming on Hulu. She is probably most recognized for her portrayal of Jan Levinson, on the hit NBC series, “The Office”. She is also known for playing Trudy Monk, Tony Shaloub’s wife on “Monk”. She starts filming the monk movie in May 2023. She is knows as well as Amazon’s Golden Globe Winning Best Comedy TRANSPARENT in the role of Tammy Cashman for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy. 

Melora’s been in many feature films including “Hannah Montana: The Movie”, “17 Again”, “Thank You for Smoking,” “Absolute Power” opposite Clint Eastwood & Gene Hackman and “27 Dresses” and she stars in the first one woman movie ever made, “Golden Vanity”, as Mabel Montgomery, an iconic child star a la Judy Garland. The film is currently being submitted to festivals. 

She made her directorial debut with the independent feature entitled, “YOU” which was a family passion project, written and co-produced by her husband, Gildart Jackson, starring Jackson, Melora’s parents, actor Jerry Hardin and actor and acting teacher, Diane Hardin, as well as many friends and Gildart and Melora’s two daughters Rory & Piper as young Quincey. Since YOU Melora was hired to conceptualize and direct a short film by Bacardi Sapphire highlighting two artists (currently found on YouTube) called “Screamin’, Big, Bad, Fun”. She directed an episode of The Bold Type called “Snow Day” which was nominated for a Women’s Image Award for Best Directing. She wrote and directed the music video for Grammy Award winning artist, Paula Cole’s, 20th Anniversary for one of her hit songs, “Where Have All The Cowboys Gone”. Melora has also been directing a documentary feature “Hunter’s Thunder” (working title) for release in 2024 

Hardin has been acting, singing and dancing since childhood appearing in numerous hit shows including “Friends”, “Little House on the Prairie”, “Love Boat”, “Magnum PI”, Spielberg’s “Falling Skies”, and “Scandal” to name a few . She has sung in many productions including Disney’s “The Rocketeer” and “Tower of Terror”. 

Melora made her Broadway debut in CHICAGO as ‘Roxie Hart’ . She also played ‘Fantine’ in “Les Miserables” at the Hollywood Bowl. Other theatre includes “My Children My Africa” written and directed by Athol Fugard, and “Appropriate”, by Branden Jacobs Jenkins at The Mark Taper Forum. 

Melora’s musical talents have been featured in Disney’s, The Rocketeer, where she does a singing cameo as the South Seas Singer and worked with legendary arranger/conductor Billy May as well as the amazing composer James Horner, both songs she sang in the movie are on The Rocketeer original Movie Soundtrack. And in 2021 Melora made it to the semi finals on Dancing With The Stars and danced to herself singing, “Mother Knows Best” for Disney’s villains night earning her and her partner the first perfect 10 of the season. 

Melora has also recorded 3 albums. 2 of her original songs, “PURR”, “The Meloradrama” and, her 3rd album, “All The Way To Mars” has both original songs and covers. All are available on Spotify.
