About Melba Montgomery
Country queen Melba Mongomery first gained fame as George Jones's duet partner in the '60s, turning out such hits as “Let's Invite Them Over” and “We Must Have Been Out of Our Minds.” In the '70s, she enjoyed success singing with Charlie Louvin, but she also became a solo star, scoring big with tunes like “No Charge” and “Angel of the Morning.” Montgomery's recording career trailed off in the '80s, though she still continued to perform live and maintained a sizable audience of adoring fans.
