Where do rich and famous ppl get their medicine from?

There is such a thing as "concierge medicine".

In short, they will sign up with a complete clinic, with most of the usual medical services under one roof. They can, for example, go to their physician for a headache and have the prescription waiting for them at the front desk by the time they leave. If the VIP is rich enough, the VIP might be the only patient, but that is rare. Having house calls by the doctor or a registered nurse is a standard amenity offered by such clinics.

The big advantages are that the VIP NEVER has to to wait for an appt. And for minor ailments, they may not even need to come in. A quick phone call at 10pm and within 30 mins a courier brings you the headache medicine. If you have a rash or something that might need the doctor to look at, a quick video call takes care of it.

I have no problem with money buying convenience. It usually doesn't change outcomes you know? But for demanding patients, it is tempting for the physician to over-prescribe. If one patient is paying six figures a year for your services, it's hard to tell them no. Then you end up with cases like Elvis or Michael Jackson. Both cases where over generous drug prescribing was a significant factor in their deaths.

They have staff to do those kinds of things for them.

My mom was fairly wealthy but not famous. She used a pharmacy that delivered. The Dr would call something in and the “druggist” as she called them, would send a delivery guy just like Uber eats or something.

They have assistants that do all their menial stuff so they can focus on being assholes

My GP used to be the Hotel DR. as part time weekend work and MJ would check in with Liz Taylor and order drugs.

Doctors. Doctors with drugs.

As I understand many famous people see the doctors of the major hospital system I work at. Under identities that would not betray them. It would then follow that they also get prescriptions under names that wouldn't be so interesting. Everyone who would see them and know that x was Oprah or Tom Cruise... would also be bound by HIPPA not to give away their false identity that they see doctors as.

You can pay to get what’s called concierge medicine. Basically, you pay extra for better service. At least some of them will deliver medicine to your house. 

Mail-order pharmacies but if they use a normal pharmacy, the employees maybe might hypothetically have to sign an NDA on top of the usually HIPAA stuff and if they were to fill any famous person's prescription, it would be really cool the first time but turn into a normal transaction after you meet them for the 5th time.
