I love bundesliga mahn everyone beats everyone
Ha Ho Ne
I am loving every minute of pur football righ now. The win against braunschweig seems like the turnaround in retrospect. Now we have to keep going.
It 100% was. To think they couldve just ended our season that day.
I was soooo nervous
It seems Hertha is doing a HSV. Avoid going down at the very last moment for years.. but then finally crumble and amd enjoy zweite..
I hope I'm wrong, but things really looking grim
I bet Bayern are missing Kovac
Nah, gotta respect Kovač because he is a great manager who has overachieved at all his clubs exceot that one, but by the end he and Bayern were just not a good fit anymore.
There’s some sarcasm in my original comment to be clear haha
Haha, fair enough my friend :)
Kovac is doing such a great job with Wolfsburg oh my.
Also Van de Ven can become the greatest CB in the world and I am not even exaggerating that much
He is ridiculous - I've seen his entire season - he's worth 50mil+ EASILY - he plays LB too at a very competent rate.
His LB game today was much better than I expected. Genuinely think he can be one of the best CBs of the league. Also I'm happy Lacroix got some playing time today. Normally Otavio starts and Lacroix is on the bench.
Wolfsburg haven't lost a single official game since September lmao. Kovac is doing some crazy work over there.
When did Jonas Wind come back from injury?
He came back from his "big" injury (that he suffered at the start of the season) in October. He got an injury right before the world cup, but it only lasted a few days and he was called up to the tournament anyways.
And then Denmark barely used him lol. Lovely player.
Ive said it before and ill say it again
Maximilian arnold is one of the most underrated players in europe
He is so consistent its incredible. Hes the glue that is holding that wolfsburg team together and just casually walked into the holding midfielder role for wolfsburg this season and is incredible at it
Honestly should start for germany, we have no DM on his level currently
Agreed. I Feel like Casteels is pretty underated, too. Although he wasn't tested today.
YES YES YES - he's so good. I think of him actually like a left footed Kroos without any fanfare.
Obv Toni is on another level but Maxi has been criminally underrated his entire career. He's had SOOO much work to do as well at times - he's done it all. Now that they have more in attack his job is even easier.
So Niederlechner really found a Bundesliga team that is even worse than us, impressive
Wolfsburg tho... 11:0 goals in their first two matches, I feel ashamed for doubting Kovac at the start of the season
Humor haben sie ja
What a wonderful game. Another great team performance from our wolves and you can hear that from the good support from our loyal away fans. This team is just exciting and I’m very interested if we can keep this up, especially in the Pokal game against Union and the BuLi Bayern game
I knew this was going to be an interesting season after we beat Dortmund. Because that usually doesn't happen. Think our stats against Dortmund are now 1 win-1 draw-12 losses from the last 14 games :D
Yes exciting games are ahead
11 fucking goals in 2 games. Wtf are you feeding them Kovač😭😭
oh boy
This week already started like shit, but it will probably end in a fucking nightmare. Highly depends on our performance tomorrow.
Wolfsburg on an absolutely insane run. Goal difference of 22:1 or something in the last 6 games. 10 BL games unbeaten. If this was a bigger club, people would be speculating about title ambitions already.
Their bad start has them chasing. Two draws and three losses in the opening five matches.
It’s because Wolfsburg has a pretty strange calendar.
Nearly all top teams in the first half of the season, nearly the whole 2nd midfield in the second half.
5 out of the next 7 matches are: Bayern, Leipzig, Union, Cologne, Frankfurt.
If they really want to play Champions League, they will need atleast 15-18 points out of the 21 - which I highly doubt, even in this form.
Will be probably around 8-13 which will be probably enough for a stable Europe League place
Dumb question: is Maximilian Arnold considered a Wolfsburg legend?
Yup, can't think of a player that embodies the club more than him. In recent times maybe only Marcel Schäfer comes close.
yes he is
100% - he's the ALL time appearances leader no?
He's actually 2nd, right behind Olaf Ansorge (a player who used to play for them in the 80s and early 90s, when they weren't in the Bundesliga yet). Arnold only has like 13-14 (or something like that) less appearances than him, so he'll most likely become 1st by the end of this season.
Definitely. He joined us from the Dynamo academy at age 14 and made his debut at 17. Since then he’s always been a part of the squad and in the last 5 years or so he became absolutely undropable. Now he’s our captain. He could also have played for other better clubs but he always stayed, even during the darkest relegation years
Wolfsburger marco reus
Minus the injuries 😬
Pretty much
Easily, even if he wasn't home grown at this point. If he retires with the squad he'll be THE Wolf
Wolfsburg took something during winter break
We're winning the League with Kovac. Wolves are headed for Europe
It will go under the radar since Wolfsburg scored so many goals but this guy Micky van de Ven is very impressive defensively and offensively in the past few matches, I haven't seen anyone talking about him despite he has been playing every match for Wolfsburg
micky is waaaay ahead of his projected curve. he rook lacroix's spot and its not even like lacroix was doing terribly or anything. he is stupidly fast, near perfect defensivley and has offe sive upside at his age.
this squad is the second youngest in the league. the potential in these players is absolutely through the roof.
This kid is insane - he took the starting job from Lacroix - he does so much insanely well
I must admit, I had forgotten that Lacroix exists lmao. What a poor season he had so far.
He is still so young, especially for a center back. When he came into the league, 20 years of age, he performed like he was 27 and already had 4 seasons in the champions league. The dip wasn’t guaranteed but very likely. But he’s still just 22. A lot of world class center backs, like Boateng and Rüdiger, didn’t peak before they were 27.
tbh I think last year was really the "poor" season for him - he's been better this year and was flawless today. His breakout season was special but I still think he's going to be a top level CB
He’s great. Very versatile and one of the rare example of offensively dangerous Center backs. He’s already a fan favourite
Wolfsburg in their last 11 games: unbeaten
Wolfsburg in their last 6 games: 6 wins, 1 goal conceded, 23 goals scored
probably genuinely best team in the league right now. People arent realizing it because of their abysmal start.
Yeap. Great that they're coming to beat the shit out of us this weekend.
Everyone is saying this
I am feeling a weird mixture of vindication about Kovac and worry about Wolfsburg stealing our lunch again.
He’s a top manager. We knew
With almost everyone in front of them kinda stumbling around and them having caught up now they look dangerous as fuck. CL race is gonna be absolute fire this year and potentially even the title if Bayern keeps doing whatever theyve been doing this season in the league.
It's a good kind of excitement, although I would like it if the other Clubs in the race were less detestable
Honestly feel like it could be very exciting
Leipzig, frankfurt and wolfsburg all look as good as bayern currently somehow
UCL will be extremly tight, dont think were gonna make it tbh
Big city club init
If they lose, they ain't doing it small
🤣🤣🤣
Selke was the glue
No more Fußballgotts at Hertha
:P
if Selke has million number of fans i am one of them. if Selke has ten fans i am one of them. if Selke has no fans. that means i am no more on the earth. if world against Selke, i am against the world. i love Selke till my last breath... die hard fan of Selke.
