Maureen Arthur (born April 15, 1934)

Guest starred on Sanford and Son in the Season 3 opening episode "Lamont as Othello" as Marilyn O'Neill, a white actress from the theater workshop class which Lamont participates in. Fred and Bubba, return to the junkjard from the movies and catches Lamont and Marilyn rehearsing an act from the play Othello. They are shocked when they see his hands around her throat and think that Lamont is really choking her. Maureen was married to Sanford and Son producer Aaron Ruben from 1971 until his death in 2010. They did not have any children together.

Maureen appeared in numerous movies and television programs from the late 1950s through the early 1990s as well as on Broadway. On television, in addition to her Sanford and Son appearance, she appeared in such programs as Bourbon Street Beat, The Red Skelton Hour, Perry Mason, Branded, I Spy, The Monkees, The Flying Nun, Love, American Style, The New Dick Van Dyke Show, Kolchak: The Night Stalker, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy, Too Close for Comfort, Murder, She Wrote, and Matlock.

Arthur was married to musician George William Weidler from 1957 to 1970 when they divorced. She then was married to producer Aaron Ruben from October 30, 1971 until his death on January 30, 2010.[1]
