I feel honoured and proud to play in Juventus, an excellently organized club owned and managed by the Agnelli family since almost a century, always striving for the next victory.
Allianz Stadium is a benchmark for the whole football movement here in Italy, a magic place where fans can enjoy the games in a unique welcoming atmosphere. Right here I scored my first goal and I’ll do everything to help the club achieving its goals and keep filling its palmares.

Seneca said,

“Luck doesn’t exist. There is only the moment when talent meets opportunity”. I totally agree, in sport as in life we all need to work as hard as we can, because when opportunities come we must be ready to catch them. To achieve important results it’s essential to be reliable, decisive and in control.

Since my first steps Mom and Dad realize that I am a natural for the game with the ball, as I used to shoot my little ball against everything (walls, furniture, sofas, relatives and friends). At 6 years Mom and Dad enroll me for G.S. S.S. Chiara and Francesco of Pontesesto of Rozzano, of which I still have very vivid memories. Some years later I make a trial at Internazionale FC but I’m rejected because I’m too thin. One day, a gentleman with the AC Milan uniform comes to the training ground, observing us. We went to the AC Milan youth teams training ground and play lots of of mini-games. Afterwards, Cimiano calls at home for a trial during which I get to know the late Mr. Zagatti and Mr. Evani, who I will meet again in the Allievi Nazionali. The following season I begin the Rozzano / Cimiano back and forth, until the next year, when a call came from via Turati … but this is another story.

CAREER

SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Through sports, people with intellectual disabilities can discover new strengths, their abilities, and can test themselves in a variety of Olympic sports. This allows them to develop and increase their physical well-being, show courage, experience the joy of participating in a climate of continuous exchange. Through sports, athletes with this kind of disabilities find joy, trust and satisfaction, on the playing field and in life. Since 1968, Special Olympics has spread its message: people with intellectual disabilities can be successful when opportunities are given to them. Every day, we are working together to transform the actions and attitudes of the next generation, with the goal of creating a more inclusive world than ever before.

Eunice Kennedy Shriver was a pioneer in the global struggle for the rights and acceptance of people with this kind of disabilities. Special Olympics is a global movement whose goal is to improve the habits and lifestyle of people with intellectual disabilities such as Fragile X Syndrome, Down Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder. We believe in a world where there are millions of different abilities, not disabilities. Sport has great power. It can shift attention from disability to capacity, from isolation to involvement. All of this can change attitudes and change people’s lives. Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports organization for people with this kind of disabilities, with over 4.7 million athletes in 169 countries – and over one million volunteers. The pledge of the Special Olympics Athlete: “May I win, but if I fail shall I try with all my strengths”.
As a professional footballer, and as a lucky man who has the chance of being often on camera and heard out, I’m proud to support and help the promotion of it’s activities here in Italy where 16 thousand Special Olympics Athletes and 10 thousand volunteers work day by day to make things happen.
