Leeds United are hoping for a Coventry City win tonight as they host Ipswich Town, with the Tractor Boys needing four points from their last two games to get promotion.

The Whites see promotion out of their hands right now in the Championship after being decimated by QPR last time out.

Ipswich Town have given Leeds a faint glimmer of hope by failing to leapfrog them on the following Saturday, only drawing against Hull City.

Leeds hoping for Coventry result v Ipswich

Level on 90 points, Leeds are only above Ipswich by virtue of their goal difference right now, a seven-goal deficit as things stand.

However, a point tonight for the Tractor Boys moves them second with one game remaining, meaning they would only have to match Leeds’ result on the final day to get promoted.

Leeds’ last game of the season comes against Southampton, while Ipswich host virtually relegated Huddersfield.

A win for Coventry tonight puts the chances of promotion back in Leeds’ hands ahead of the final day.

Mateusz Klich shows Coventry support as Leeds pray for result

Mateusz Klich, like every Leeds fan today, is hoping for a Coventry win against Kieran McKenna’s side.

He posted this on social media this afternoon, showing what he’s hoping for at the Coventry Building Society Stadium tonight:

We’re all Coventry fans for tonight

Coventry were outstanding against us earlier in April, but haven’t won another game since, suggesting it won’t be easy tonight.

However, Ipswich are on a winless run themselves so they won’t be totally confident they will cruise to victory.

Three goals away at Hull might boost their hopes of getting over the line against a tired and inconsistent Coventry side, though.
