Richard Moll, the towering character actor best recognized for his portrayal of the eccentric, gruff-voiced bailiff Bull on the television series Night Court, died at the age of 80, yesterday. He passed away at home in Big Bear Lake, California, according to a statement from his publicist to the Associated Press, however no cause of death was given.

After serving as a regular on Night Court from 1984 until 1992, Moll went on to play small parts in several movies and television series, such as Scary Movie 2 and The Flintstones. In video games, he also provided voice acting. Though he was well-known for playing the rubber-faced court officer with the catchphrase “Ohhhh-kay,” Moll did not play the same character in the most recent iteration of Night Court.

In almost every one of the 193 episodes of the sitcom that aired from 1984 to 1992, Moll became well-known for creating the catchphrase “Oooo-kay.” Harry Anderson, Charlie Robinson, Markie Post, and John Larroquette also starred in the program.

Apart from his part in Night Court, Moll portrayed several noteworthy parts in movies. He appeared as a deplorable snowman in the 1981 film “Caveman” and as a Vietnam soldier in the 1986 horror picture “House.”

He had two children, Chloe Moll and Mason Moll.

Mason Moll is a producer and musician who plays lead vocals for the group “Mason and the Mothership.” In addition, he has produced music for well-known performers including Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus.

According to Moll, having children is his “greatest accomplishment.”
