Characters
Marvel |
Wolverine |
When using Wolverine, get ready for some strategic swingin'. He's not the strongest character, by all means, nor is he the fastest. This works to a great advantage when fighting him, as you can use objects in your grasp to defeat him rather easily-—unless you're facing a well-rounded Wolverine player. To become one, you will need to focus on when to use your fists and when to use your claws, as using both constantly will get you a ticket to the hospital instantly. Use your surroundings to your advantage, as well. |
The Thing |
The Thing is the toughest brawler in the game, which leaves him little room to work with in the speed department. Using the Thing is a bright move if you're used to rough, tortoise vehicles in your fighting games, as he will certainly leave a mark on whoever he touches during the melee battles, as long as he's fast enough to get the combos off when fighting speedy combatants like Elektra. |
Elektra |
One of the more diverse characters for use in the game is Elektra, who uses her throwing knives to deal a great amount of damage from half-screen distance; not to mention that she can pack a punch and her speed isn't too bad. Be sure to mix your game plan up when fighting PVP, as (depending on the intelligence of your buddies) you will be spotted very easily as a nasty cheapster that constantly launches projectiles to make up for your lack of skills. |
Daredevil |
The greatest thing about the Daredevil's game is that he's a very swift, agile fighter that can pack a fast, powerful punch as long as you're sneaking in for the blow rather than going into an all-out war mentality that will certainly get you killed instantly. Take your time and pace around, throwing objects at your enemies until they're vulnerable from a missed combo set or something of the sort. Then let'er rip! |
Storm |
Inarguably one of the weakest punchers in the game, Storm is there simply for strategic value. If you're no good at the game in general, then Storm is definitely not the character for you. You will be let down by how weak her attacks are, and give up way too quickly on her. For the more experienced players, however, Storm will come in handy. Much like using the Arizona Cardinals in a football game, you can take a lot of playing by surprise by picking Storm over stronger characters. Use your ranged attacks and floating ability to stun the opposition, and strike only when necessary. |
Venom |
Venom is a rough dude, to say the least. All of his attacks are very, very fast for his speed, and they pack one nasty punch, to boot. The main problem that Venom players will face is that he stops immediately after a combo to vogue rather than actually defend himself, leaving him wide out to attack—-especially when crowded by enemies. When playing one-on-one, however, he is a very handy fighter. |
Spider-Man
The Human Torch
Playing as the Human Torch is a torchy... er... touchy subject. He's definitely not the toughest character to use in the game, but he's super agile with a thing for indirect combat via projectiles. He can't lift overly heavy objects, but he can carry quite a few heavier items on his back. Think of him as a crossbreed of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and Storm. He can dash through the air like storm, but he has the strength of Spidey.
Iron Man
Magneto
Easily the toughest to master of every character, Magneto comes with many, many faults and equally as many advantages. Magneto is one of the, if not the, weakest characters in the game, as he can barely put up a melee fight for his life. In turn, he cannot lift practically anything on his own... however; he can lift practically everything in the game with his magnetic powers. This is his huge advantage. He can even lift enemies and throw them around!
Imperfects |
The Wink |
In a wink of an eye, the Wink can transport herself across the room, up onto secondary balconies, and get away from projectiles better than any character in the game. You can't hit something that you can't see, right? The Wink uses some fairly decent melee combos, and although she can't lift too much, she doesn't really need to. Outside of lifting strength, she's one of the really excellent Imperfects, as long as you treat her right in battle. |
Faultzone |
Once a terrific Russian figure skater, Faultzone suffered a tragic car accident that left her disfigured. With her new robotic legs, she will skate for life, and kick you heartily in the crotch between her times on the ice. She's a very sturdy, well-rounded character. Her robotic legs have given her tremendous strength, so strong that she surpasses many men in the game, having the ability to freely lift vehicles at will. She's also mighty quick for having such strength. Overall, she's one of the best Imperfects to use for newbies and veterans alike. |
Johnny Ohm |
A truly sad story in itself, Johnny Ohm was convicted of several murders that he did not commit. He was sentenced to death by electrocution, but he could not die. Due to this, he was "blessed" with the power of electricity. Johnny Ohm is a, in a word, brute. He can wrestle with the strongest of them, and can lift just about anything on the battlefield. More importantly is his ability to use electricity freely at will. Yeehaw! |
Solara
Hazmat
A scientist that caught all sorts of viruses prior to being exposed to his own concoction, Hazmat is now fueled by venomous toxins that he is actively searching for a cure to cease his suffering. This gives Hazmat a nice advantage, and is the equal to Marvel characters like Venom—agile yet powerful fighters that can brawl from time to time, yet still lift the occasional semi-heavy objects over his head. If you're looking for a well-balanced Imperfect, Hazmat is the likely candidate.
Brigade
Paragon
Paragon, otherwise known as Maya, an Amazonian survivor that was kidnapped and labeled the "perfect specimen" to be the ultimate killing machine in the Imperfects, is likely the best all around character in the game. She has all of the right moves, including deadly melee attacks, the ability to pick up any object scattered on the battlefield, deadly speed, teleportation, and much, much more. She's also the main character in the Story Mode section of the game.
Roekel
Sure, we could spoil the last boss with a picture and a lengthy description, but why would we wanna go do that?
