Svidersky had let slip last week he was set to depart Old Trafford, speaking to Slovakian outlet Sportnet.

He explained he has an option to battle for first team football which he is attracted by, with his United contract expiring at the end of this month. He is expected to announce his new club imminently.

He said: “I have spent the last days in Spain, where my steps will continue. They will follow in the first Spanish league, La Liga. I have high expectations, it will be a new experience, a new country.

“Spain came to me as the best option for my development. It is an opportunity to play men’s football and get more chances.”

Sportnet reported Svidersky has already undergone a medical at his new club, speculating it is one of Valencia, Villarreal, or newly promoted Almeria, where ex-United talents Largie Ramazani and Arnau Puigmal play.

United signed Svidersky in 2018, with The Metro reporting we beat competition from Chelsea, Liverpool and Celtic.

But his stint got off to a nightmare start when he suffered an ACL injury just weeks in, at just 17.

Svidersky bounced back in 2020/21 to feature regularly in midfield and defence for the under-18s, captaining the side.

This past season he has been a regular for the under-23s, making 20 appearances in total.
