‘Next manager’: Pundit thinks he knows who’ll replace Conte at Tottenham

Mark Schwarzer has said on Stadium Astro that he thinks that Tottenham Hotspur will appoint former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel as their next boss after parting company with Antonio Conte.

The former Chelsea goalkeeper does not think that Tottenham will keep Conte as their manager following his outburst this past weekend.

The pundit believes that Tottenham will bring in former Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund boss Tuchel.

There is speculation that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has decided to part company with Conte this week.

The former Chelsea boss slammed his Tottenham players this past weekend as well as aimed a dig at the club’s hierarchy.

Spurs failed to win against Southampton in the Premier League.

Thomas Tuchel backed to replace Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur

“I don’t think Conte will be in charge,” Schwarzer told Stadium Astro. “I think it’s almost at a point, I think personally it’s at a point of no return, I don’t think you can say that and get away with it.

“And I’ve actually got a sneaky feeling Thomas Tuchel could be the next manager and I think he’d be a good appointment as well.”

HITC Verdict: Unlikely

In our view, it is unlikely that Thomas Tuchel will take over Tottenham Hotspur now.

Yes, Spurs are a big club, but Tuchel is used to challenging for league titles and the UEFA Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

We do not think that the German will want to come to Tottenham and compete just for the Premier League top four.

Tottenham do not have the players that Tuchel had at PSG and Chelsea.
