Singer Mario’s girlfriend gives him manicures, pedicures in quarantine

Mario admits to letting his looks go during quarantine.

“I am woofing right now. My beard grew long and I am not getting haircuts,” the “Let Me Love You” singer told Page Six Style.

Despite the lack of visits to the barbershop, he’s focusing on his beauty products. “I use Jojoba oil for my beard and — this can get you in trouble fellas, so be very careful with this one — it’s called Butter Me Up ($22.95). It’s an oil and it literally smells amazing on your beard and your hair. It is an amazing product and it has lasted me almost 6 months now.”

As for the Grammy-nominated singer’s hands and feet, his girlfriend of one year takes care of that. “My girl gives me manicures and pedicures because we can’t go anywhere now and I hate the smell of nail salons. I hate the smell of the chemicals in there it makes me want to barf so she does everything here,” he explained. “I do my manicures myself when I’m traveling, though.”

He added, “For my facials I just use a charcoal mask. I don’t do facials all the time. I think it’s important for the natural oils in your skin to secrete in its natural state. When I’m going out and I’m working out I use charcoal face mask. I also use charcoal soap and a charcoal face wash as well as a black seed oil. I use it to moisturize as well.”

And as for keeping in shape, Mario said his metabolism “is crazy fast,” but he likes to keep a routine in the gym. “I love my body when I work out, I look like an action figure. I think it’s just consistency I love my body when I’m slimmer I still feel good when I’m at a heavier weight I still feel good I’m blessed with that.”

Besides upping his grooming routine, Mario has also honed skills in gardening, farming and yard work as well as cooking and cleaning dishes. And, of course, the “Empire” star has been working on new music.

His new single “Rewrite It” was released on June 19th and his album, titled “Closer to Mars,” will be released by August.
