Neighborhood: Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighborhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.

    good experience, poor luck
Four stars, short of one. That's because I didn't win big during my visit. MBS Casino is far better than our other national pride, RWS. The convenience of getting there (in the city) and the easy access to restaurants and shopping. It feels more like a gambling den in a mall. You can win, if you're lucky. But most end up losing, hopefully not a lot. Ground floor smoking is very good for gamblers who need nicotine to think through their bets. And the smoke won't flow up to the other upper floors, with state of the art ventilation. Lots of free drinks to keep gamblers hydrated during their stay. And if you get tired, book a nice room at MBS hotel with your winnings (IF you have won enough). Or at least break your game play by eating at one of the food options in the casino. I prefer the experience at MBS than at RWS. I have visited both.

    Must vist
Our experience was really good. Unlike other reviews which mentioned that it is difficult to get in due to security check. It hardly took me 2 minutes to get in both the times and at exit not even 1 minute. Table games were ok but three card poker Table which I play were quite less and at night only one was operational due to less crowd. It's a good experience. One must definitely visit

It's definitely different, but it's worth a visit
Visited the Marina Bay Sands Casino. Unlike my visit last year, I was actually able to get in. Before you are allowed into the casino, you have to show your passport and your Singapore arrival acknowledgment imigation email to three people! The last one scans your passport & takes your photo! Once inside... there are NO bars! You have to find someone to order a drink from. Good luck with that! Just a hint, the ladies wear a red dress!! If you are playing at a table, you can ask the croupier to ask them to come around... again, don't wait until you finish your drink to order a new one..... takes a while! I was there early in the day, so the tables were not busy, and it was easy to place bets. Everyone was nice enough & whilst I lost, I still enjoyed my time. Then as I was leaving, i had to show my passport & visa arrival confirmation email AGAIN, before i was allowed to leave. 🙄 It's definitely different, but it's worth a visit.

Unfortunately smoking in the casino still exists in this modern day, and is prevalent at the Marina Bay Sands Casino. I toured around the casino just to check it out, and the most interesting thing I saw was an autonomous robot that wanders around serving non-alcoholic drinks.

There was a long line up to get in, which I find very odd, however security was validating passports. What I found interesting when I spoke to the agent at the entrance was that Singaporeans have to pay $150 SGD for entry, but foreigners get in free, which shows you how the government discourages their own citizens from the pleasures of vices.

Other than the autonomous robot this was not an exciting casino to be in, especially when I compare it to all the casinos I have been to in Las Vegas over the years.

The staff is very hostile and not at all helpful. In the marina bay sands casino website there are listed number of different documents that are acceptable to get in. Main one is passport of course (no ID card) and one of the alternative options was a work pass. One member of our group held the work pass but the man in the document control point just said "passport only!", and when we tried to ask how come it is stated in the website that work pass is also stated as an option, he just plainly ignored us, pushed us aside and took the next people behind us. We were ignored and this kind of treatment left us with a very ugly memory of this place. Casinos should be fun right?? There was no one to talk to or who to ask for a clarification. If you have ever been to Monte Carlo Casino, then your expectations are already way too high and be prepared for disappointment.
We were in Singapore for 3 weeks and this was the only time the locals were so hostile and rude. So if you are only going to spend a few days here, I really recommend spending your time and money somewhere else (Sentosa island is quite expensive but really beautiful and fun... and oh, you are treated as a human being).

Huge let down like many things in Singapore. It looks nice from the outside but it's a dump tbh. The don't serve drinks after 10:30 but everyone in there is smoking their faces off. I went in for my first and last time to play black jack for a bit with a couple hundred to lose (as I've heard nobody wins here). I went to a table with an attractive young lady dealer. Big mistake. It sucked the whole time she rinsed me. She had zero personality, her eyes were dark like a sharks with no emotion and no feelings. It was the worst gambling experience of my life, not because I lost, that's always the case, but because there's no life in there, there's no entertainment, it's just a big cesspool of dirty dealers waiting to take your money.

I will like to commend MBS and their staffs on their excellent service. Mr Zhuang Cai Zhong(security office) and Alice(slot machine staff) helped me with my lost ticket with patience and professionalism, they took time to explain and solved my predicament in a short and efficient manner. Words cannot describe the extend of my gratitude towards their hospitality, truly appreciate. Thank you for the pleasant experience, be sure to visit more often.

Huge generic casino, poorly furnished every corner looks the same. Mostly pokie machines but plenty of space for table games. No alcohol that I could find anywhere, must wear a face mask unless of course you are smoking. So two thirds of the clientele walk around puffing a fag. No atmosphere whatsoever, but also one of the most profitable casinos in the world. Go figure. Long laborious checkin, must present passport and Singapore entry card to enter and leave the casino. Left smelling like I had been clubbing in the 90’s. Only the most devoted gamblers should bother.

We knew from prior research that the entry procedure would be over-the-top Singaporean government excessive control style, and it was. Getting a players card also took about 30 minutes from when we lined up to when we actually finished the application process, which was like applying for a home loan. LOL. The bottom line though was the as a facility and as an experience, the casino failed to deliver on almost every level when compared to going to casinos in Vegas and some other gambling destinations. A very poor variety of machines, an inability to just walk up to a bar and buy a drink, a crowd of mostly immigrant labourers and mainland Chinese hardcore gamblers, and poor food outlets. They also made the casino entrances cryptically difficult to find inside the sprawling MBS shopping complex. When the Singaporean government realises that casinos and gambling are leisure activities and people want fun, then that will be a start for them.

1/5 was difficult to get in, we needed to have our passports and Singapore entry permit to even get in, was like going through customs in Australia. Finally we get in & we’re going to play roulette but within seconds of entering we literally decided to leave again as the smell from all the cigarettes being smoked everywhere & ashtrays was totally gross, just awful, my husband started coughing straight away, getting out was just as hard, needed to show our documents again, DO NOT GO if you a a non smoker. Yuk!!!

Worst casino I have ever been to. Avoid at all cost. You are treated like a criminal from the minute you arrive. 3 passport checks and visa check prior to entry. Also same rubbish when you leave. If you have a win you must do the same to collect. Security are rude ,staff belligerent. The smell of cigarettes is overwhelming. This is the 2nd most profitable casino in the world because they give you nothing , treat you like crap and overcharge on everything . If you won’t to enjoy your stay avoid this casino.

I cannot begin to say how bad this casino was , I have been to many casinos around the world and I cannot believe that you need to not only show your passport but also Singapore entry document to walk through the door.made to feel like a criminal to get into a place where they are just going to take your money in a smoke ridden atmosphere. To top it off you have to show your passport again on exit as if you are able to change yourself or your documents whilst your inside and when asked the reason for having to inspect on exit the security guy said he needed to check you didn’t have a Singapore passport like What the F , white Australian as if I would have a Singapore passport it’s ridiculous harder to get into the casino than the country. What would they do if you didn’t show passport on exit refuse you to be able to leave nuts , would not recommend anyone to go there save your money and hassle as the experience was terrible .

Small but clean, great food at the restaurants and fun to be. At NCY it was full of people playing large sums of money which was exiting to watch. For us non Singaporeans there are special queues - you have to have with you both your passport and the card they give you at airport arrival (we had it in e-form, it was accepted). And, we could smoke inside!
