ATLANTA, GA -- Marcus Allen emerged early in his high school career due to his blend of size and ridiculous length.

The 6-foot-6, 190-pound small forward out of Miami (Fla.) Norland is starting to turn the corner from prospect to player with strides being made in his development over the last few months.

His ball skills and slashing ability have really improved and schools have taken notice with a plethora showing interest.

Baylor, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Cincinnati, Missouri, Florida State, Miami and Stanford have all been in contact since the contact period began and the Top-50 prospect discussed some of those involved early with 247Sports.

Cincinnati: “He was just getting to know me and build a relationship for the future so we can go on with the recruitment process. I love Cincinnati because they’re always reaching out trying to talk to me and get to know me.”

Florida State: “I took a visit not too long ago. I really like coach [Leonard] Hamilton and the coaching staff. They make me feel at home.”

Miami: “That’s the hometown so it’s always going to be a special part. Coach Larranaga reached out to me a couple of times. I am supposed to be going on a visit soon.”

Missouri: “I have a strong relationship with coach CY and coach Gates. We all talked before with my mom and the coaching staff so we like them really well."

Stanford: “It’s on the west coast, I would love to see it. It’s got great academics and that’s big for me and my mom so I am going to keep them in mind as well.”

Allen hasn't received any offers from the schools involved as of Saturday afternoon but he is wasting no time in looking to take visits.

“All of them," he said of who he'd like to visit. "I would like to see which school will help me get to the NBA.”

What will he be looking for in a school as he gets educated on each option?

“Somewhere I can feel at home and where I can go be myself and just play," he said.
