Episode 1/2[]

Main article: Episode 1901 - Welcome To Vegas
Main article: Episode 1902 - Shrimply Spectacular

The eighteen new chefs arrived at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas as Ramsay wanted them to see the first official Hell's Kitchen Restaurant. Marino greeted the chefs at the front doors and took them inside the restaurant, with Marc feeling pumped to compete as it was a dream for a person like himself to come from the South Bronx to be one of the eighteen chefs in the competition. As the chefs drank champagne, they got to know each other. Eventually, Ramsay came in, explained that the Hell's Kitchen Restaurant was built on the show's eighteen-season legacy, and revealed that it was one of the highest-grossing restaurants in America. Ramsay revealed that he brought them to the restaurant for inspiration because the winner of that season would become the Head Chef at the brand-new Hell's Kitchen Restaurant in Lake Tahoe. Ramsay admitted that they would not be competing in the real Hell's Kitchen restaurant due to the demand, so they would be going to Los Angeles to compete. The chefs returned to the bus to head to the airport as Marino handed out the tickets, and once arriving at the strip, they see a helicopter revving up, with Ramsay taking it and flying off. After some time, the chefs were called in for boarding, but as the chefs walked through the doors, they found themselves standing inside the restaurant. Then, Ramsay appeared in his chef jacket, revealed that for the first time in the show's history, Hell's Kitchen would take place in Las Vegas and had some performers do some shows for the chefs. While the chefs could not do any of the tricks they saw, they reaffirmed that they could indeed cook to Ramsay. After seeing that Sous Chef Jason was the blue team's Sous Chef, he said that he respected the former a lot.

Before the Signature Dish Challenge, Marc said that his dish would be a Chicaronca, but it was changed due to the twist. He was paired up against Brittani, they were the second pair to play for their ingredients, and they received pork chop, asparagus, and quinoa. That pleased him as Puerto Ricans cooked pork like pros. During the cooking, he was confused about Kenneth 's early finished and asked if the latter were the Michael Jordan of challenges or if this would end poorly. Although Kenneth said he was confident, he hoped that the former put out a great dish. He was the final person from the blue team to have his dish judged by Ramsay and presented his butter-basted pork chop. It was praised for having a beautiful presentation, the fact that it looked juicy, and he said that he knew his pork due to being Puerto Rican. He scored a perfect five as well, the men won 28-27, and he knew he made a statement on the first day.

The blue team was rewarded with dinner at Gordon Ramsay's Steak with Ramsay himself joining them and riding on the High Roller. During the reward, Marc sympathized with Ramsay after hearing his story as he grew up in the streets of the Bronx, his mother had him when she was 14 years old, and he called himself a fighter for trying to come up with cash. On the High Roller, he tried to give the men communication advice, and while Josh noted about his energy and felt he was trying to become the leader, the latter felt it was all talk.[1]

During the Creative Shrimp Challenge, Marc tried his best not to laugh at Kenneth's block of parmesan in his dish as the blue team could not fix stupid. He lost the challenge as his dish was not called as part of the top three in the blue team.

During dinner service, Marc was on the appetizer station with Josh. When Drew was late on the lamb refire, he got pissed as cooking was not rocket science. After Drew and Peter were kicked out of the kitchen, he and Adam took over the meat station. Although they got the refires accepted, the rest of the blue team got kicked out after Cody served soggy fries. The blue team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, he agreed with Drew's accusations and told Peter that he was fucking them.

He was not nominated for elimination.[2]

Episode 3[]

Back at the dorms, Marc declared that he would do whatever it took to get the men back on track after losing two members in one day. As the men reviewed the menu in their bedroom, he declared that they had to win the following day, but Declan retorted that they had to win every day. Annoyed by Declan's retort, he argued that he knew that, but the former accused him of suffering from a Napoleon complex, and Josh thought that he would pop open like a soda bottle. He declared his earlier decree as Declan felt a monkey was riding a bicycle inside his head.

Before the Caesar Salad Challenge, Marc saw a statue next to Ramsay, which he deemed ugly as ass. He was seen bringing up one attempt, which was rejected for not having enough dressing or lettuce. The blue team lost the challenge 8-10, and they were punished by prepping and peeling Scotch quail eggs for Ramsay's Caesar salad dish as it would be featured in that night's service. He and Cody had twenty eggs peeled during the punishment, but he got annoyed by his teammates' slow pace as they needed to pick up the pace before trashing what he thought was a rejected egg. As he left the kitchen for a while, Sous Chef Jason saw the trashed eggs and demanded who did that as he reminded them they could still use them. Declan said that he was responsible for that, and Sous Chef Jason saw that he threw out multiple eggs that could have been used, making him angry as he felt the men dogged him. When he returned, Cody told him what happened, causing him to start making excuses, much to Declan's annoyance.

During dinner service, Marc was on the meat station with Josh. When Cody struggled on scallops, he accused the former of putting the men in the weeds, and when Cody accidentally cooked two orders instead of one, he accused him of not knowing how to count. A pissed Ramsay had Cody call out the order to get it straight, and he was left aggravated at Cody's mistake. When Cody walked up a raw salmon, he told the former to own up to his mistakes and started to get riled up, with Declan trying to calm him down as he knew they could bounce back. The blue team won the service, and he felt that his energy was carrying the team.[3]

Episode 4[]

Main article: Episode 1904 - Wedding Bells In Hell

Back at the dorms, Marc and Josh hoped that Drew would come back soon after the latter left to the hospital.

Before the Wedding Brunch Service Challenge, Marc got emotional seeing the wedding as it reminded him about his wife and that he was doing it for his family. He served as the blue team's expeditor. He was not seen much, except for getting pissed off as they were giving newlyweds hard-boiled eggs instead of poached eggs. The blue team lost the challenge, and as the men cleared down, Declan declared that he would take the lead of the blue kitchen from now on, but he snapped back at the former by reminding him about his overcooked egg. As he and Declan continued to argue, Peter and Cody tried to get them to stop, with the latter reminding them that they had couples watching them from the dining room.

The blue team was punished by making 1600 cupcakes for the wedding couples. Back at the dorms, Marc declared that he was a natural leader and refused to take a back seat to anybody. Pulling Declan outside to the patio, he said that he refused to look up to him and take direction from him, but Declan claimed that he could only hear barking from his mouth and accused him of disrespecting him. Then, he told Adam to stop smoking. During the punishment, he and Josh looked at the latter's first batch, but to their dismay, Josh's first batch looked horrible due to a possible overmix on the batter. He was pissed that they had to restart from scratch, warning Josh that it was entering the levels of unforgiveness.

Before dinner service, Ramsay announced that Drew would not be coming back after leaving for the hospital days ago, upsetting Marc as the men were dwindling quickly with the loss of Kenneth, Eliott, and now Drew. He welcomed Amber as a new teammate. During dinner service, he was on the garnish station. Ramsay was about to call out the blue team's order for Sous Chef Jason's VIP table, but he interrupted the former before he could say a word. Pissed by that, Ramsay lectured him not to talk over when he read out an order and asked him what was more important. He said that Sous Chef Jason's family was, but Declan accused him of being all talk and said he should either be a spokesman, a politician, or a car salesman instead of a chef. Afterwards, Ramsay called the order out properly, and Josh tried to calm him down. After Declan served a raw steak, he chuckled after recalling how the former wanted to be their leader.

Both teams were named joint losers, and they were asked to nominate two each. During deliberation, Marc tried to talk with Declan, but the latter was in no mood for that and warned him to stay away. The red team told him not to provoke Declan any further, and later, Peter considered him and Declan for nomination due to their fighting and believed that the blue team would never gel with that going on, with Amber agreeing with that. Then, Cody compared him and Declan to two bulls clashing around and had no idea how the blue team will work with them around any longer.

Marc was named the blue team's first nominee for elimination, with Peter as the second, and they joined Brittani and Syann from the red team. During his plea, he claimed he was here to win and tried his best to communicate with Peter but said that the fish station was a mess. However, Cody shook his head and told Ramsay that all he was hearing from him was finger-pointing. He survived elimination, and while being dismissed, he called it ridiculous to be nominated and warned the blue team that he was there till the end.[4]

Episode 5[]

Main article: Episode 1905 - Hell Starts Taking Its Toll

While going back to the dorms, Adam dreaded another speech from Marc as the latter accused the blue team of playing politics and proclaimed that he would be the one left standing after the clouds were gone. Cody took him aside and scolded him for using his plea to blame everybody instead of trying to make a case to stay, but he called himself a fighter and refused to go into a forced argument with the former. Cody argued that he was concerned about him due to his attitude, but he rudely brushed the former off, called his team full of shit, and was prepared to defend himself.

During the Mexican Cuisine Challenge, Marc was paired up with Amber, they picked the tostadas as their dish, and while collecting their ingredients, he chased after a runaway duck, much to Syann's humor. The blue team lost the first part of the challenge, and they were given 40 minutes of cooking time. During the cooking, he had his marinade ready as he focused on cooking the duck, while Amber was busy making a side salad. However, Amber sarcastically deemed her teamwork with him a match made in heaven as the two bickered over how much to plate. They were the third pair from the blue team to have their dish judged and went up against the pair of Jordan and Lauren. They made a molasses soy marinated duck tostada with a mixed salad, but while Aarón Sanchez felt that everything was cooked properly, he had reservations about the salad as they used green bell peppers, which are considered bland for tasting. While Ramsay liked the salad's acidity, he deemed the peppers a no-no, but despite that, Aarón decided to award both pairs a point. As both pairs went back to their teams, Amber remarked she would not have heard the end of it from him if they failed to score as she refused to listen to his complaints.

The blue team won the challenge after a tie at two each, and they were rewarded with a spa day at the Voie. Back at the dorms, Marc told Josh that he warned Amber about the size of the plate earlier, although Cody recalled the bickering the two had. Later, Declan told Amber that he threw her under the bus, she told him to talk shit about her to her face and told him to grow the fuck up, but he argued that he was not coming after her. That caused Amber to complain that he always wanted the final word and wished she had a muzzle, while Syann commented that it would be an awkward spa day. During the reward, he was ready to have the tension massaged out of him.

During dinner service, Marc was on the appetizer station with Amber. At one point, Amber felt that he was all over the place on their station, which made her hate him even more. Josh said that he was walking his lobster tail, but while he acknowledged that, he did not send up the risotto, claiming he needed thirty more seconds. With that, Ramsay sent back Josh's lobster tail and asked where the teamwork went. While he asked Josh for a time, the latter reminded him that he was leading appetizers, and he caused the same mistake again by not walking the risotto with Josh's lobster tail. An agitated Ramsay asked him if Josh checked with him on timings, but after a moment of hesitation, he said yes. Annoyed by that, Ramsay reminded him that Josh should not walk with the lobster tail until the risotto was ready, while Amber told him to fucking cook and communicate. Despite that, the blue team finally got coordinated and sent out their first order of appetizers. After Peter was eliminated mid-service for not believing in himself, he was stunned by the former's admission. After the blue team completed service, he thanked the Lord for letting the blue team complete service.

Although both teams were named joint winners, Ramsay asked them to name one nominee each. During deliberation, Marc nominated Amber as he felt she was toxic towards the blue team, but Cody did not believe that to be true and found his statement completely hypocritical as the only thing he needed was a mirror. While he reminded Amber about her salad during the challenge, she could not deal with him any longer. Cody was stuck between choosing either him or Josh, while Adam considered him for nomination. He felt that they were nominating him based on political views, but when Cody asked him if that was true, he cut the latter off in the middle of his question. That made Cody angry, leading him to call him out on that along with being super aggressive and asked if he was accusing the entire team of lying about the same thing they have been saying all along.

Marc was named the blue team's nominee for elimination and joined Lauren from the red team. During his plea, he said he was here to cook, but when Ramsay pointed out that the blue team accused him of not taking criticism well, he argued that he could take criticism well before accusing his teammates of not taking his criticisms well. He survived elimination, and while being dismissed, he felt he was nominated for not playing house with the blue team but refused to quit as his family never saw him do that because he was an amazing chef.[5]

Episode 6[]

Main article: Episode 1906 - Metal & Marina

Back at the dorms, Marc said he was done arguing with the blue team because it turned them against him and promised to start over. However, Declan warned him that if he was arguing with them, then the blue team would not gel, but he said he wanted to work well with them.

During the Modern Italian Cuisine Challenge, Marc went up against Kori, and he smashed open a guitar to reveal veal Milanese. He was the second person from the blue team to have his dish judged and presented his Macadamia nut crusted port wine marinated veal chop Milanese. It was praised for being moist, and he scored eight guitars. The blue team won the challenge 33-28, and they were rewarded with riding in muscle cars with professional drivers and eating an Italian meal at the Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant. During the reward, he prayed that he, Declan, and Josh would come out of their ride alright.

During the Italian Night dinner service, Marc was on the meat station with Adam. Due to Josh's improper communication, he struggled to give Ramsay an update as Declan told him and Josh to get their shit together. Despite that, the two finally communicated with each other. The blue team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, Adam suggested nominating him for elimination, with Amber agreeing to that. However, he knew Amber was trying to nominate him due to being a tough competitor and told the blue team that, like it or not, he had what it took to win. Despite that, Cody reminded him of the times he froze up on callbacks, while Adam said that if he had somebody like him as a boss, he would walk out the door and go to another restaurant. He got confused and asked why he was getting targeted despite cooking well that night.

He was not nominated for elimination.[6]

Episode 7[]

Main article: Episode 1907 - A Pair Of Aces

During the Protein Identification Challenge, Marc felt confident after seeing the red team's time of 8 minutes and 46 seconds. He was paired up with Cody, they were the first pair from the blue team to compete, and they grabbed the pork and mussels dish. Their first attempt, clams and chicken, was incorrect, and Cody found out that things were not what they seemed. Then, they got half right on turkey and mussels, but they got the right meat protein on their third attempt. The blue team lost the challenge as they failed to beat the red team's time, and they were punished by deshelling crab and prepping them for crab cakes for that night's service. During the punishment, he stated that although he worked with crabs before, he never worked with that many before as it was big suffering for them.

During dinner service, Marc was on the appetizer station with Cody. He was not seen much, except for wanting to make sure he and Cody were in control that night. The blue team won the service after completing the red team's order.[7]

Episode 8[]

Main article: Episode 1908 - Crapping Out in Hell

During the Craps Challenge, Marc rolled a P, and after Declan used his Jedi mind trick to convince him to pick pork, it seemed to work as he picked the right protein. After seeing the red team score high points, he hoped that the blue team was carrying heavy bats. He was the second person from the blue team to have his dish judged by Ramsay and presented his honey glazed pork chop with salt and pepper haricot Verde. It was criticized for having raw pork, and he scored 2 points. The blue team won the challenge after a 19 point tie, and they were rewarded with high wire lessons with Absinthe and a special lunch at Nobu. During the reward, he did his lesson with no problems as Cody said he was dancing the bachata. At lunch, he said that bonding with Ramsay was great and motivating.

Later that day, Ramsay called the dorms and had everybody race downstairs, with Marc comparing them to bats out of hell. Ramsay gave Cody the responsibility of interviewing the blue team and naming two nominees. Back at the dorms, Cody told him that while he respected him, he felt that it was a hat draw and said that the competition pushes them. He agreed with that as he was the guy with all the answers back home, but after being that person in the first couple of days, he took a backseat and felt Hell's Kitchen turned him into a better man for his family.

Marc was Cody's first nominee for elimination, with Amber as the second, and they joined Lauren and Jordan from the red team in the Cook For Your Life Challenge. During the cooking, he decided to do a brown sugar rub for his dish, felt he was in the zone, and declared to be an outside-of-the-box kind of guy. However, while he wanted to show the blue team what he could do, he was unaware that Adam and Declan did not think he had a chance. Later, he felt that Amber was getting nervous. He was the second person to have his dish judged, felt his dish was a winner and presented his brown sugar coriander rubbed filet with twice-cooked potatoes. Ramsay asked him why he used brown sugar as a rub, but he said he did it before. Ramsay did praise the rub of the steak but reminded him that with a sugar rub, he must add in two parts of salt. Despite that, he nailed the temperature of the filet, and he felt the cream would rise to the top. He was the second chef sent back to safety, and he felt his heart was filled with pride.[8]

Episode 9[]

Main article: Episode 1909 - Blind Taste Test

Before the Blind Taste Test, Marino handed the chefs milkshakes, but Marc wondered what was going on as it seemed too good to be true. He mistook his caramel milkshake for root beer, and when Ramsay announced the Blind Taste Test, he had a good feeling that the blue team would win. During Delcan's turn, he did not receive any of the punishments. He was the final person from the blue team to compete and went up against Kori. He only got strawberry, and after he failed to get butternut squash, the challenge ended 10-8 for the blue team, and Cody got the ice cream dunk. The blue team was rewarded with a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and an overnight stay at the Caesars Palace's private villa. During the reward, he let down his man bun for the first time.

During prep, Marc asked Adam questions about the procedures for fish that night. That caused Amber to feel that Marc was not on point with the blue team as he was asking questions any chef should know by now. During dinner service, he was on the fish station. At one point, Declan called him a glitch in their workflow as he had Adam walk the lobster tail. However, Declan did not have the risotto ready until a few seconds later. Then, he served bland scampi that Ramsay sent back, but while the latter asked him for the refire, he went quiet. Despite Ramsay's frustration, he got his refire accepted, and the blue team was pushing out appetizers. Later, he felt that this was a different fish station that night due to having different items to cook other than fish, and had Adam help him with his fried egg. However, Adam caused it to come out burnt, angering Declan as he asked why he was surrounded by turkeys while he tried to soar like an eagle, and Amber said that the fish station should be the last station that went down on Steak Night. Despite seeing the red team's perfect service, he got confused on the next order as he thought it was one salmon and two veal instead of one salmon and one New York striploin. Infuriated by how far off he was, Ramsay dragged the blue team into the back pantry, berated them for not coming together, and ejected them to the dorms. As the blue team returned to the dorms, he knew they were better than that as he was ashamed by that night.

The blue team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, both Declan and Amber accused Marc of going down that night with the poor timings, but while he argued that he was trying to communicate well for the team, Amber felt it was more of a deer in the headlight moment and said she would fire a Sous Chef if they behaved like him. However, he got pissed that they were nominating him for what he believed to be personal reasons and was considered for elimination by Cody. Then, he reminded Adam about how he burned an egg for him, but the latter argued that his problem that night was helping him out when he had things to do himself.

Marc was named the blue team's first nominee for elimination, with Adam as the second. During his plea, he said that he has shown extreme adaptability and felt that he was given false timings for fish. Ramsay asked him who he felt the weakest stations were that night, if not fish, and he said garnish and meat before continuing to ramble on about being great. He survived elimination, and while being dismissed, he felt that his four nominations were not valid and planned to do whatever it took to win.[9]

Episode 10[]

Main article: Episode 1910 - There's Something About Marc

Before dismissing the chefs back to the dorms, Ramsay warned Marc to quickly get off his island and work with his team. However, he felt that his skills and fierce attitude made the blue team uncomfortable and could not wait to see how it all unfolded as they were now in the thick of it. While Declan wanted to talk that night out, he refused to, leading Cody to snap that he sure was not. Despite Amber's best attempts to calm the mood down, he confronted Cody and said he would continue to fight no matter how many times he was nominated, but the latter argued that he was lying to Ramsay. As the two continued to argue, the red team heard it from the hallway, leading Mary Lou to wonder if they should open the doors. Declan and Amber tried to defuse the argument, but he told Cody that not only was he still here, but he was also going to go the distance as he was motivated after that night. As he and Cody continued to argue, the red team listened on in awkwardness, with Nikki hoping they would not turn out like that.

During the Five Protein Burger Challenge, Marc cooked the salmon burger, said that New Mexican chefs loved spicy foods, so he decided to chargrill jalapenos as he believed salmon paired well with spicy flavors. He was the second person from the blue team to have his dish judged and went up against the red team's dish, presented by Nikki. He made a salmon burger with grilled jalapenos, but it was deemed too hot as Ramsay said he needed a fire extinguisher to cool down. He lost that round to the red team, and the blue team lost the challenge 2-3. They were punished by prepping 500 pounds of potatoes for a pomme purée and drinking a leftover burger milkshake. During the punishment, Amber asked him if he was in the military before, but he did not respond as he refused to talk with his team because he refused to entertain amateur hour. After seeing the milkshake being blended, he called it disgusting.

Before dinner service, Marc chose to perform on the appetizer station. On the twelve-top table order, Ramsay sternly warned him to give him his best as he did not want any shit from him. Cody offered to cook the risotto for him as he focused on the carbonara, but the former could not find the capers as he was disorganized. Cody decided to lead him on the appetizer station by holding his hand and walking him like an infant child. Then, Declan discovered that his flat top was off the entire time, causing him to accuse Cody of turning it off when he cooked the risotto, and he shut out the latter when he tried to offer input on the risotto. Then, he walked up a bland risotto and curdled carbonara, and after Ramsay showed the blue team the poor dishes, Cody reminded him to listen. Later, Ramsay demanded the refire from him, but while he sent it up, Ramsay spat it out as it tasted disgusting. The blue team was forced to taste it as Ramsay pulled him into the back pantry and reminded him that nothing has come out on point despite wanting to be on appetizers. Ramsay warned him to get a grip quickly, and while he knew the former was on his tale, he refused to go down and managed to get his third attempt on the risotto correct. With that, Ramsay sent the blue team's half to the twelve top.

The blue team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, Marc nominated Declan and Amber as he felt he was better than the two and argued that meat and fish had major problems that night. However, Cody told him that he was his nominee for elimination, but he called the former full of shit and once again accused him of turning off his oven. Cody denied that, but he said that he never had his flat-top off since he has been here. However, Amber reminded him that he was all over the place on timings and that he deserved to go home, but he snapped after Declan accused him of bringing the entire team down that night, leaving the dorms in anger.

Marc was the blue team's first nominee for elimination, with Cody as the second. During his plea, he felt he bounced backed and accused the blue team of protecting themselves by playing politics, but when Ramsay asked Declan if his complaints of being sabotaged were true, Declan said it was not as he felt the blue team helped him get set up that night. After listening to their pleas, Ramsay said the only things he saw that night was bland risottos and overcooked carbonara before eliminating him for declining performances and for his constant attempts to blame the blue team for his mistakes. During his exit interview, he said he came in to be authentic, accused the people in Hell's Kitchen of not standing his energy, and still believed that the blue team was out to get him since the start.

Ramsay's comment: "Marc is a big talker and a decent cook. But I'm looking for someone who can lead a brigade. Marc couldn't even win over his own team." [10]

Marc was one of the seven chefs that returned for the final dinner service. He was Kori's final pick, after Declan, Jordan, and Adam, and was the final pick overall. While upset that he was picked last, he called it irrelevant.[11] Back at the dorms, Kori went over the menu, but he kept making quips to the annoyance of Declan as the latter could not stand it, while Jordan told him to relax as it was Kori's reputation on the line. He was assigned to garnish and gave his loyalty to Kori.

During prep, Jordan asked Kori about the sweet potato purée, but when Marc said he just made it, the former was frustrated because he did not tell her earlier. Right before dinner service, he was focused on winning it for Kori. During dinner service, he was on the garnish station. At one point, he responded to Declan's callout, and when Jordan struggled on meat, he felt she was shutting down. Kori eventually won the finale over Mary Lou.[12]
