Marquise of Samaranch. She was the wife of José Antonio Samaranch, former President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). They were married on December 1, 1955. She was passionate about photography, decorating and painting, and possessed an extraordinary collection of art, with works by Dali, Nonell, Subirachs, Cuixart, Tapies and other major painters from Catalonia. She also was president of the Honorary Committee Altarriba Foundation, Friends of Animals and a member of the Patronate of Anar Foundation aid and child protection. In 2004 the Assembly of the Olympic International Committee (IOC) granted unanimously to her posthumously. the Olympic Order, in his maximum category of gold.
