- Sharon MMcMurray, PA85 contributionsBeautiful gardens and house with a nice cafe and gift shop. This was beautiful in the fall and I imagine it is stunning during the summer.Written October 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stardust86Belleville, MI281 contributionsWe recently camped in the Mohican State Park area and found a baby Robin that had fallen out of its nest being harassed by young kids at the campground. It didn’t look like he was going to survive the attention, so we made a trip out to bring him to the sanctuary. They were amazing and took him in, and even gave our group free admission for bringing him in. So grateful places like this exist!
Aside from being an amazing rehab – the center is a really entertaining and educational place to visit. They were doing kind of a presentation about one of their owls when we arrived – answering lots of visitors questions & letting you get a close-up view. We LOVED the trained crow who they let take donations – he takes the money right from you and flies it over to his donation bucket. It’s very cool to see. They also have tons of rescued raptors you can view and read about – and then there’s the little walk-through aviary where you can feed birds. Sadly the only bird I could get to come eat was the pigeon – but there are a lot of other neat birds in there.
My 4-year old loved the kids play area as well.Written July 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There was airport with baggage claim and pilot wheel over clouds, police station, hair salon,McDonald's, post office, theater, grocery, fire station and many more. There were props and accessories at each station. The day we went, they had arts and crafts. I took my 5 yo old grandson. He rated it 10 out of 10. We spent 2 hours and he would of stayed longer. We left for lunch. They only have snacks there. They frequently clean play areas.Written July 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Don Hummer JrDublin, OH1,077 contributionsThere is a lot of different places to enter the bike trail, and we went the route through the grassy area which turned out to be about a 30 minute walk through mostly wooded areas. Easy paths, walking through some open areas while some shaded/tree areas, and a few places to sit down. Overall, a nice place to walk and enjoyed being outside.Written September 18, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cribben2Ocala, FL47 contributionsWe visited for a regular self guided tour and the part we saw was very
informative....but many areas were off limits for the Halloween Event they also have running there at night. If this had been mentioned on the website we may have postponed the visit until all of the prison was open to visit.
The tour does give a very creepy experience of day to day life in the reformatory....the tiny cells are hard to imagine without actually being there. The stone architecture of the prison's exterior is gorgeous...as well as the woodwork and windows in the administrative area. You will even get to see "old Sparky", the electrocution chair used for executing many prisoners.
The reformatory has been the site for filming several popular movies and you will recognize the filming areas from Shawshank Redemption and even Russian parts of Air Force One. Overall, the tour is definitely recommended.Written October 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Simply delicious!
Our kids had a great time picking apples; our little one's first experience. Be sure not to miss the live bee hive they have on display inside the store by the drink refrigerator. Our kids loved watching the bees at work.
Definitely worth the stop if in the area.Written September 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There were a few areas that could use some attention, and random pieces of clothing in the woods? We went on a cold day so we didn’t get to see a lot of wildlife, but were mostly just going to get some time outside.Written April 3, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Porthos7West Chester, OH8,434 contributionsTop rate art museum! Don't let the size of the place fool you - it's small but mighty! Very open which I prefer in a display place. They have different exhibits constantly - so check their website for latest fun. You'll need under an hour and is handicap accessible! Go and enjoy!Written March 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Warren LAda , Michigan, United States61 contributionsThis is a Quality Fire Museum. It has a Main Street from back in time and fire apparatus from the early days of hand drawn equipment, to horse Drawn, to motorized fire trucks. Lots of historic memorabilia related to the fire service and the history of the Mansfield, Ohio fire Department. A must see on your visit to Mansfield, Ohio.Written July 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Gwen BKingston, Canada70 contributionsIf you are travelling in this area well worth a side trip. Large selection of antiques and some lovely decorating items. Everything is well organized and very well priced. Beautiful spot to browse. We were on our way to Springfield from Hartville and decided to pull off at Mansfield to visit. So glad we did. This spot is a gem.Written September 23, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kathy TCleveland, Ohio, United States283 contributionsOur seniors went to the Blueberry patch winery as part of our tour to Mansfield. The blueberry patch is 37,000 acres of blueberries. The owner told us some the history and did a wine tasting for us. After the tasting we were free to explore and visit the gift shop. The shop had many unique items. It was a fun adventure.Written December 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Stardust86Belleville, MI281 contributionsThis was a fun stop – especially for my 4-year old and her cousin. Only $1 to ride – they wound up riding twice, and even the adults had to ride. Love that there is a big free parking lot right across the street. It’s a short visit, but its worth seeing if you are in the area.Written July 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
