FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's and women's outdoor track and field teams both captured titles at Sunday's 2024 Skyline Conference Track and Field Championships. The women's side scored 175 points to win its sixth-consecutive title, while the men's team tallied 272 points in picking up its third-ever Skyline crown – and first since 2019.

The top-three teams in the women's meet were separated by just 17 points, with second-place U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and third-place Mount Saint Mary College finishing the competition with 165 and 158 points, respectively. Farmingdale State senior runner Alycia Haynes (Adams Ctr., N.Y.) was named the Skyline's Track Athlete of the Year for a record fourth time, as she won both the 800 (2:35.33) and 5,000 (21:39.77) meter events, along with running the second leg of FSC's winning 4x400-meter relay team (4:23.30). Rams mentor Daniela Georgieva was selected as Coach of the Year on the women's side in voting by her peers, while U.S. Merchant Marine Academy student-athletes Shea Curran and Victoria Crofford were named Field Athlete and Rookie of the Year, respectively. Curran's winning shot put mark of 10.77m (35-4) led a quartet of top-three finishes in the throwing events for the repeat honoree, while Crofford placed top-two in four events, including a winning time of 5:20.78 in the 1,500-meter run.

FSC's men's team outdistanced second-place USMMA by 87 points, with Manhattanville University checking in with a third-place score of 79. Behind a 30-point showing across his four throwing events, Farmingdale State freshman Adonias Mercado (Hillsdale, N.Y.) earned Rookie and Field Athlete of the year accolades, including his winning mark of 39.04m (128-1) in the discus. USMMA distance runner Luke Zweisler garnered Track Athlete of the Year distinction following his trio of top-two finishes, including a winning time of 16:39.84 in the 5,000-meter run, while Mariners fourth-year mentor Kayla Koelbel was named Coach of the Year on the men's side in voting by her peers.

Individual student-athlete winners, along with the winning relay team members, received first-team All-Skyline Conference distinction, while individual second-place finishers earned second-team all-conference kudos.

Farmingdale State junior Alexxis McNeil (Valley Stream, N.Y.) was victorious in the 100 (12.77) and 200 (26.14) meter dashes, and ran the anchor leg on the winning 4x100 (52.44) and 4x400 (4:23.30) relay teams. McNeil was joined on the winning 4x100 team by junior Meghan Cichon (Mahopac, N.Y.), sophomore Alyse Rivera (Manhattan, N.Y.) and freshman Stephanie Alberghine (Medford, N.Y.). Freshman Precious Akahara (Valley Stream, N.Y.) and sophomore Nicole Pickett (Uniondale, N.Y.) joined Haynes and McNeil on the victorious 4x400 outfit. Rams sophomore Jada Pepanio (E.
