It's pretty much what I thought it would be so far. Honestly pretty satisfied with my college experience in my first year.
I like Manhattan school of music because they offer a very good music and they teach in a very best way. They have produced so many great musicians. And they are always after the student success.
It is very small community so all students and teachers are supportive.
Main building and dorm have great facilities. School gives us so many opportunities to perform.

My experience at MSM was outstanding! I studied 2 degrees in Piano Performance and the faculty is just great.
I love the atmosphere of Manhattan School of Music! I am a current admitted student there and I cannot wait to enroll for the Fall 2022 Musical Theatre program.
i learned how to swing and bebop to my heart's content what a great school yes it was nice and it was good yeah baby jazz
The quality of in-person classes were extremely high. It was very comprehensive and very engaging. They were some of my best academic memories I've ever had. The professor go above and beyond to make sure you understand their lessons, grasp the content they are teaching, and to even enjoy and see music through different lenses. The professors use many different techniques for teaching and practical learning that still remain in my memory to this day. It is the professors that have convinced me to continue my education at the Manhattan School of Music. I feel confident and assured that the school is leading me in the correct path. The lessons were at a high level, but at the same time, taught with detail, care, and dedication. The classes I have taken have truly been amazing experiences.
Besides being ranked among the top premier music conservatories for classical music in the world, but with its history of introducing music to students for over 100 years was something that greatly intrigued me. The school had overcome so much and is a great example for future musicians who would need to learn to do the same. They also have online learning and in-person learning, and even offer a mixture of both. The atmosphere created by the professors within the classrooms and lessons were so open, enlightening, and truly nurtures the joy and love of music. At the same time, you are getting world-class level education and insight into every aspect of music.
I love the environment at MSM. Everyone is so committed to their craft and I am so grateful to be studying alongside such talented human beings. The Musical Theatre curriculum and staff really show me how much I love this area of study!
Never took online learning, in general it is very dumb and draining school, doesn’t nurture genius, only teachers! If you just want to be a teacher, then go here
Honestly .... I have no idea why it's so expensive. Admin consists of a bunch of entitled individuals, the Dean of Students couldn't be more unrelatable (not to mention she targets certain students). The main reason I'm proud to go here are the private instructors. They are the saving grace.
Manhattan School of Music is definitely one of the most unique conservatories in the world. Excellent music program. I'm specifically enrolled in Voice Opera Theatre. The school is extremely welcoming and has a diverse community I am proud to be a part of. This school truly prepares you for your professional career in the future. Another benefit of attending Manhattan School of Music is its location. The urban atmosphere is truly sensational. Its almost as if the entire city is your classroom. I get inspired by seeing new faces. The skyscrapers surpassing the clouds is a reminder that even the sky isn't the limit. I am truly excited for this upcoming school year.
I'm currently enjoying my experience with Manhattan School of Music! The more-or-less vertical campus took a while to get used to, but otherwise the environment is very positive and welcoming!
I overall love being a student at Manhattan school of music! The courses available to us are very valuable and the professors are irreplaceable. Academically speaking I am highly impressed with the school. However the reason it did not receive 5 stars was due to the fact that their non music related department is lacking organization and support. It is a very "you're on your own" feel environment when it comes to the non academic portion of the school. That being said, I go to this school for the people (my professors, mentors and colleagues ) and not for their lack of support when it comes to the school offices and officials
Stefon Harris is an incredible leader and educator here! In his first year as the Associate Dean of the jazz program, he has given master classes on his harmonic system almost weekly, while inspiring creativity, ambition, and artistry from students here.
On the flip side, I was unhappy with my trombone teacher for the first semester. He didn’t always come to lessons, owed time, and was not communicative during these cycles of disconnect. I didn’t feel encouraged by his style of teaching and had to draw from other classes, as well as my own passion, in order to improve.

I truly love my program, but feel the school itself lacks a proper punishment and justice system for students, and is unorganized. I would tell anyone applying or considering attending to 100% do so, but do know the school has a few things it needs to work out.
The professors are world class and the environment is the most welcoming and comfortable that I experienced anywhere.
