Co-designing a Flood Resilient Masco Park

April 29, 2024Residents got a taste of what is in store for certain areas of Town with the flooding that occurred this past winter. While no especially large storm struck, extensive high waters flooded Masconomo Park multiple times and even made Beach Street impassable once during high tide. Other low-lying areas were also flooded. We can expect this type of flooding to happen more frequently and cause more damage unless we take measures to better hold back or otherwise accommodate water.

Annual Town Meeting Time

April 23, 2024The Annual Town Meeting is set for next Wednesday, April 24. All voters are asked to come to the Memorial School for the 6:30 start. (Come early to avoid the rush and you can listen to the high school acapella group, the Sound Waves!) Free childcare is available for those who pre-register through the Parks and Recreation Department. A public information forum on the articles is set for this Thursday, 4/18, at 7PM at Town Hall.

Annual Town Meeting Articles Set

April 5, 2024The warrant for the Annual Town Meeting (ATM) is now set listing the 21 articles that voters will be asked to consider. Wednesday, April 24 is the date of the meeting scheduled for 6:30pm at the Memorial Elementary School. The warrant is posted both on the Town’s web site and at a handful of locations throughout the town. In a change from tradition, the Annual Report will not be delivered to all households, but it will be available on-line, in various locations around town and at the Annual Town Meeting. The Finance Committee Report, complete with the proposed budget and all the warrant articles will be mailed directly to all households.
