Malindo Air (OD) is a low-cost carrier based in Malaysia. The airline operates from a hub at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), with a secondary hub at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (SZB). It began operations in 2013. Malindo Air flies to about 30 destinations, including 14 points within Malaysia, two in Bangladesh, five in India, six in Indonesia, one in Nepal, two in Thailand and one in Singapore. Its fleet of 23 aircraft includes ATR 72-600, Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900ER planes with one-cabin (Economy Class) and two-cabin (Business Class and Economy Class) configurations.

When I last flew business class with Malindo it was a real rip-off and I swore I would never fly with them again, I succumbed to pressure from travel partners and decided to try the economy class flight offering----Well that is it never again ! Apart from the generous leg room for economy the delays and cancellations turned what should of been a very enjoyable flight into a nightmare. The pre booked food all seemed to work out quite well and the quality was as you would expect for a super budget airline. If you have any other option than Malindo, take it.…

This airline has the worst customer service I have ever experienced; starting from their useless website (it was a telling sign and I should have aborted from the get go). I booked a flight and their system ticketed the incorrect date (April instead of June). Their system ticketed for the date I booked. When I called them within 24 hours of booking to advise of the error, I was advised I was a no show on the flight (a flight I had booked 2 hours before it was due to depart…. Makes sense, right?!?). Beware of there online website and payment system. I tried to purchase tickets directly on their website, and received the confirmation message on their website. They did not honour the sale of the ticket, did not respond to follow up emails on their email confirming I have given them my credit card details. Wasted a week trying to get in contact (they do not respond to emails nor WhatsApp, there PREFERRED contact method), before buying tickets from a reputable vendor. At that point, it costed us an additional $1000~ as prices have changed ($200pp).…
