The museum is housed in the Cultural Building, which it shares with two other Maine institutions that are popular destinations for visitors – the Maine State Library and Maine State Archives. Augusta, Maine’s capital city, is centrally located on the state’s major north/south interstate, I-95, just north of the terminus of the Maine Turnpike.
