♒️🌲🌳☕️🍦🎬🚤Not surprisingly, Boulters Lock, leading to Ray Mill Island and Boulters Weir, is rated #2 out of 20 best things to do in Maidenhead on TripAdvisor. This iconic site dating back to 1772 showcases the old England water transportation system and the fascination of locks. The beautification of Ray Mill Island, complete with the iconic hotel, open to passing guests for food and drinks, the well maintained family park, river Thames views, cafe, statues, play park and seating areas, make this a wonderful urban countryside destination that's also free for the whole family. Admire the Riverside houses and boats, look in wonder at the power of water, pass through the weir, and feed the ducks and swans some bread on the other side. ♥️

We visited the zoo for their primate experience. This included a zoo tour (with other members of the public) followed by a session feeding their squirrel monkeys- we had 3 family members doing the experience and 2 spectating. If you haven't booked all 3 slots you may end up sharing the experience with someone else. The tour covered most of the animals in the small zoo but also included meeting and feeding their resident porcupine, feeding the squirrel monkeys mealworms through their mesh and stroking one of their pythons. For £8 each for the tour this in itself was great value. The primate experience was £25 per person but included the tour for 2 people (whoever was booked for the experience and a spectator). This included hiding small grubs in different enrichment toys for the squirrel monkeys to find and then going into their enclosure and hand feeding them mealworms and different fruit or veg and then watching them play/explore the enrichment tour. We all had a fantastic time and Emily who led the tour and the experience was amazing- she was friendly and enthusiastic and was able to answer all our questions- pitching her answers really well for different ages.
The entire experience, including the tour lasted just over 2 hours and didn't feel rushed at all.
I eould definitely recommend this experience and would do it again in future.

Great flight simulator experience flying a Spitfire over Portsmouth Dock and then over Central London. Superb volunteer Stewart gave an interesting bit of background and history of the ATA in WW2. Then Stewart patiently guided me through the 30 min flying experience which was brilliant. Highly recommend.

After living for a year in Maidenhead... I eventually decided to take a walk to the sounding arch... not sure about the architecture etc.. heard it’s all good... but what impressed me was the echo there under.. was well worth the 10 min walk from my place

The park is massive which is great for 14 and belows, and beside the park there's sheep - my toddlers loved feeding them grass, outside the park there's a trail with obstacles which is great for kids whilst going on a walk, if they oi walk straight and don't do a turn on it you come to an amazing nature forest-like place with loads of feilds and a lake which is great for dog walkers.

Wanted to do something a bit different for my son's birthday party, something outdoors....and this fit the bill perfectly. The area where the party takes place is all enclosed and gives plenty of space for 20 little ones to run around, explore the woods, hunt for critters, build dens and have a campfire with marshmallows. Alistair was a pleasure to work with and the assistant, Tom, who helps on the day of the party, was passionate about the outdoors and very helpful. Also love that the fee to use the space goes back to a nature preserve. Win win. Highly recommend!

Organised my son's 9-year old birthday party at Absolute Combat and he had 5 other friends with him. They all seemed to have a good time.
10/10 for all of the staff, we were well looked after. Party room is a simple space but worked well and pizza's were satisfactory along with plenty of squash and water. We supplied the birthday cake and additional food.
Overall, I highly recommend this place for a children's party. Much better than Laser Quest in my opinion.

My daughter had her party at absolutley laser and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a full hour in the arena for lasertag which is an adequate amount of time and then half an hour in the party room. You have to buy their pizzas as you're not allowed to bring your own food except for nibbles and cake.

The member of staff giving the safety brief seemed a bit grumpy and fed up. Also we had to keep going to the front desk to request the included drinks (water and squash) as none was forthcoming despite being told they would be brought up.

Overall very good and would have another party here.

Really love visiting this ground, will be sad to see it go if Shanly gets their hands on it. Fab queuing system in Stripes bar! Go now and support your local team before it’s too late. Come on you stripes.

Came here on a Sunday morning before 10am - very quiet, and plenty of parking. Play area was enough to keep my toddler amused. There is also a skate park and some tennis courts.

This is a lovely spot, my grandchildren just love running around the perimeter of the pond. Both fountains are now working and this adds to the charm.
